Dexter Jackson alleges Phil Heath

Dexter Jackson alleges Phil Heath is ‘retired’.

The Olympia Weekend is about 10-weeks away and the comments and videos are starting to make their way to social media.

Things are starting to heat up with competitors trading comments between each other, trying to gain momentum mentally before they step on the Olympia stage.

2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson recently uploaded a photo on his official Instagram page of the new promo poster for the 2019 Mr. Olympia.

The photo displays 2018 Mr. Olympia Shawn Rhoden, Roelly Winklaar, Brandon Curry, Dexter Jackson and William Bonac.

7X Mr. Olympia Phil Heath is obviously not in the photo for a number of reasons. Phil, till now, has not confirmed if he is competing or not. As usual with all the Olympia athletes, contracts have to be signed for marketing purposes and it looks like Phil Heath has not gone through this process. Without papers signed, he will not be used as part of the marketing campaign for the Olympia.

After the 2018 Mr. Olympia, it was evident that Phil Heath was not happy with the way he was pushed aside and was not the main focus of the Olympia Weekend. Instead of the marketing campaign being focused on Phil trying to win his eighth title, the focus was on other athletes such as Big Ramy.

Getting back to Dexter Jackson’s post, he was asked by a follower why Phil heath is not on the poster.

Dexter then immediately replied: “Retired!”

It was not long after that discussion started to get interesting with Phil Heath responding.

Phil Heath did not hold back when he replied to Dexter: “@mrolympia08 don’t be so sure about this one playa. Remember what Arnold did in 1980, I mean you were there and all”

With his reply, Phil jokingly refereed to Dexter as being a old man when he implied he was at the 1980 Mr Olympia.

Phil also went on to say that he is at the gym getting swole.

As this conversation was taking place on Dexter’s official Instagram page, Dexter had a majority of the supporters, but at the same time, Phil had his support as well.

Hopefully more of these debates will start taking place on social media to hopefully make things more exciting in the build up to the Olympia.

Surely there is great respect between Dexter and Phil and a discussion like this should be taken lightly.
