Battle for 2022 Olympia qualification continues in Reno, Nevada.
Just weeks after the 2021 Olympia Weekend at the 2021 Legion Sports Fest, athletes are already fighting for their spot 2022 Olympia Weekend.
The 2021 Legion Sports Fest Pro will be taking place in Reno, Nevada on 24 October, 2021.
There will be six NPC/Pro League divisions, consisting of Men’s Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini, Fitness and Women’s Physique.
All eyes will be on the Men’s Bodybuilding event. A number of the top stars that failed to qualify for the 2021 Olympia Weekend will be fighting for the top prize.
At the time of publishing this article, 17 athletes are scheduled to compete.
Sergio Oliva Jr. will be returning to the stage after his sixth place finish at the 2021 Arnold Classic, USA.
Sergio admitted that he was not at his best for the Arnold’s, but promised to be at his best for this contest.
Canada’s Regan Grimes is another athlete that the media and fans can’t wait to see. Regan has just teamed up with Milos Sarcev. Already, after just a few weeks under the watchful eye of Milos Sarcev, Regan is already making vast improvements.
Patrick Moore will want to improve from his 14th place at the 2021 Mr. Olympia by winning the event. Moore has one of the best aesthetic physiques in the lineup, but he might have a hard time standing next to the bigger competitors.
Cedric McMillan is making his return after injuring his hand. The 2017 Arnold Classic winner has the potential to win every show. Cedric has the best genetics in the sport, and he is capable to win every show including the Mr. Olympia. Cedric’s condition is his downfall, compared to his fellow competitors.
If Cedric does arrive in his best condition, he has the possibility to win this event.
Maxx Charles failed to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia and he will be determined to qualify for the 2022 event. Maxx will have to regroup after ending his working relationship with Milos Sarcev.
Shaun Clarida, fresh from losing his 212 Olympia title at the 2021 Olympia Weekend, Shaun has decided to compete with the big boys in the open class.
Shaun might be on the shorter side, but he has the muscle and balance to challenge for a top placing. This will be exciting to see.
With a lineup of 17 bodybuilders, the top stars will surely have to fend off the challenge from the rest of the lineup.
