2022 Bigman Weekend Pro Spain – Brett Wilkin wins.

Brett “The Butcher” Wilkin managed to conquer a line-up of 25 athletes to earn his qualification for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, at the 2022 Bigman Weekend Pro in Spain

The event took place in Alicante, Spain, 25-26 November 2022.

Open Bodybuilding and Bikini pro division events were included, giving the opportunity to pro athletes to qualify early for the 2023 Olympia Weekend.

Brett Wilkin and Ivanna Escandar now have their tickets booked for the big event in 2023.

Brett narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2022 Mr. Olympia, when he placed second at the Romania Musclefest, just a few weeks earlier.

With this victory, Brett has 13 months to concentrate on the 2023 Mr. Olympia.

Winning this event was not an easy task for Brett, as there was a deep line-up of 25 athletes, forcing the judges to push every athlete to the limit.

Already qualified for the 2022 Mr. Olympia, Andrea Presti, still decided to compete at this event, with the hope of getting his 2023 Mr. Olympia qualification sealed.

Brett and Andrea continued to stand side by side till the last minute, with the judges putting them through every pose, to decide who will win this event.

Andrea was the taller and bigger bodybuilder when compared to Brett, but when they were put through their poses, it was Brett that had the better-conditioned physique.

It must be noted that Andrea is focused on the 2022 Mr. Olympia, that will be taking place this November.

The Bikini event was another exciting spectacle, with defending champion Ivanna Escandar winning the event for the second consecutive time. The victory guarantees Ivanna’s place at the 2023 Olympia Weekend as well.
