2022 Mr. Olympia: Iain Valliere not happy with his performance.
Iain Valliere was not happy with his performance at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. The event is one of the most competitive in recent years, with the Canadian bodybuilding star aiming to place in the top five.
It was evident when Iain stepped on stage that he was somewhat not focused. Iain was hesitant while posing, looking confused. It was like it was his debut, it did not look right that a veteran bodybuilder such as Iain was hesitant while posing.
Focusing on his physique, Iain did not look that bad, but just like any elite athlete, he wants to be at his best.
Iain used his official Instagram account to express his opinion about how he looked and felt during the pre-judging part of the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
It looks as Iain is throwing in the towel before the results come out on Saturday evening.
Leading up to the 2022 Mr. Olympia, Iain was 100% focused on this event, with the goal of finishing in the top five, but unfortunately, he is seeing things differently.
To make it more difficult, the event is the most competitive in recent years, leaving no room for mistakes.
Iain will surely get through this, he knows he is one of the best bodybuilders in the world, and he does not need to give an explanation for a bad day. Every sports team or athlete has a bad day.
Iain will gain a lot of respect from the bodybuilding world, as just as he promoted himself and criticized others, he knows how to face the truth and admit his mistakes.
Iain Valliere’s Message
“After looking back and trying to be as constructive and objective as possible, we just missed the mark tonight.
“From my individual presentation, I was awkward and clunky in my posing which is your first impression. I tried to make too many changes in a short time to my posing and it left me lost, and thinking too much, which then just had me do nothing right at all, and that’s no fault but my own.
“In terms of my peak, the crispness and the fullness I had earlier in the day, slowly went towards flatter with a small film.
“Happy with the muscularity and overall condition, but I definitely didn’t show the best version of Iain, or the best of what we had seen from me during the last few days.
“It’s hard to accept crap like that when you prepare for months for one moment, and then metaphorically shit the bed with many aspects.
“But this lineup was also nuts, so who knows how much difference it would have even made with my physique.
“Definitely a moment that you want to forget, but unfortunately it will be hard to do. I guess I will take it as a learning experience.
“I know to some being the top 10-12 bodybuilder on the planet, in a lineup like this is awesome, but I don’t compete to place like that no matter what the level of the lineup is, and I hold myself to a much higher standard than where I’m likely to fall.”
