2022 Vancouver Pro: Iain Valliere cruises to victory.
Canadian bodybuilding star, Iain Valliere, confirmed his place at the Mr. Olympia, after winning in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Pro took place on 17 July, 2022, in Abbotsford BC, Canada.
The Open Bodybuilding event unfortunately only had nine athletes that registered for the event. With Olympia qualification up for grabs, it was expected more athletes would have participated.
Iain Valliere was full of confidence going into this show, leaving no chance for the other competitors.
As expected, Iain Valliere was the best competitor and he displayed great condition to match his large physique.
With just over five months till the Mr. Olympia, Iain looks to be on the right track as he has enough time to make the improvements needed.
Iain shared his thoughts about his victory on his official Instagram page:
“Very very happy with the look we brought to Vancouver today. 264lbs with absolutely the best combination of fullness and dryness I’ve ever had, and very happy with the improvements I’ve made in terms of thickness through my chest and back.
“Very excited to continue to improve heading into the olympia, and bring condition a biiit tighter through glutes and lower back while attempting to maintain this really full look that I think suits my physique the best. Challenge accepted.
“That Olympia first call-out is calling me and I’m going to do everything in my power to get there come December.
“Big Congrats to Antoine Vaillant for a great showing, hope he gets in another show ASAP. The crowd was electric with support for both of us and it made for a super fun competition.” – Iain Valliere
Fellow Canadian Antoine Vaillant finished in second place. Antoine is finally back on stage after suffering a setback due to an injury and other problems.
Antoine arrived in great condition, but he did not match the size of Iain Vailliere. Antoine stood next to Iain through the event, but it was evident who the winner was.
Finally, third place went to Hossein Kalateh. Being on of the shortest competitors on stage, did not stop Hossein from pushing aside some of the bigger opponents. Hossein was another competitor that displayed world class condition.
