2023 Men’s 212 Olympia: Keone Pearson defeats Shaun Clarida.
Keone Pearson is the new 212 Men’s Olympia champion, defeating defending champion Shaun Clarida.
The two-time champion, Shaun Clarida, was the favorite to retain the title, throughout the year, with bodybuilding pundits giving him the nod.
The majority of bodybuilding media expected Keone Pearson to challenge Clarida, but not defeat him, fortunately for Pearson, he proved everybody wrong.
Evooutionofbodybuilding.net predicted that the judges would have to pick between a granite-looking condition and an aesthetic-looking physique.
The judges preferred the aesthetic physique of Pearson, which was not as condition as Clarida, but more pleasing to the eye.
Third place went to angel Calderon Frias, who also presented a well balanced physique.
Fourth and fifth went to Kerrith Bajjo and veteran Ahmad Ashkanani respectfully.
