2023 NPC Arnold Amateur has been postponed indefinitely.
The Arnold Sports Festival organizers have announced that the 2023 NPC Arnold Amateur events have been postponed indefinitely.
In a press release published on their official website, the Arnold Sports Festival have announced that the 2023 NPC Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness Figure, Bikini, Physique & Wellness Championships have been postponed indefinitely.
At the time of publishing this article, this news has not been shared on the Arnold Sports Festival Social media pages.
To avoid any unnecessary speculation, Evolutionofbodybuilding.net reached out to Brian Powers, Executive Director of the Arnold Sports Festival, and he immediately replied.
“We were disappointed with early indications of athlete interest in the 2023 Arnold Amateur and decided to take a step back and work to improve the offering.
“The Arnold Classic is bodybuilding’s premiere invitational hosted by its greatest champion.
“If Amateur registrations are not meeting expectations it is a clear indication that I need to take it off line for a period of time and revamp the competition to meet the high standards of the brand.
“While we are disappointed that we are pausing our Amateur this year, the Arnold Sports Festival is otherwise experiencing record high demand in all other metrics (ticket sales, exhibitor/sponsor sales, hotel room bookings, etc.), we are investing more into the fan experience this year than in any other year and we are excited to share a number of blockbuster announcements for this years Event in the coming weeks.”
It is very strange that amateur athletes from all over the world are not showing any interest in this event.
The Arnold Classic Amateur was one of the biggest and most prestigious amateur events on the competition calendar.
Due to the pandemic, the Arnold Amateur events were postponed, but returned again in 2022, with a very good number of athletes.

The 2023 NPC Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness Figure, Bikini, Physique & Wellness Championships has been postponed indefinitely and will not be held at the 2023 Arnold Sports Festival.
This includes ALL divisions for the 2023 Arnold Amateur.
Refunds will be issued to athletes who had registered to compete at the 2023 Arnold Amateur.
The Arnold Classic, Arnold Expo and all other sports and events of the Arnold Sports Festival will be held as scheduled March 2-5, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio USA.
