2024 IFBB Elite Pro Night of Champions UK: 25-26 October 2024.
The historic Night of Champions returns to IFBB Elite Pro’s calendar of events for the 2024 contest season.
The Night of Champions is a historical event, originally promoted by the legendary Wayne DeMilia from 1978 to 2006. The IFBB sanctioned the event between 1978 and 2004. Between 2005 and 2006, Wayne DeMilia created a new federation, the PDA, and organized the Night of Champions for another two years, with the final event taking place in the UK.
In the last 20 years, several other federations organized events under the same name, but finally, the event is returning to the world stage with the IFBB Elite Pro in 2024.
2024 IFBB Elite Pro Night of Champions
Dr. Vic and Helen O’Reilly are delighted to bring back the iconic Night of Champions to give athletes the chance to compete at the highest level in the UK as part of the IFBB Elite Pro organization.
This fantastic event, with $37,500 prize money, is just the beginning of a new era in the UK, as the promoters have other exciting plans for the future, including a fitness expo next year.
This date and venue for this year’s contest were booked, initially as an independent show, until discussions and meetings with the IFBB Elite Pro organization presented an opportunity to create a truly international event.
On the advice of the Elite Pro organization, Dr Vic and Helen decided to hold three categories this first year: Bikini, Men’s Physique, and Bodybuilding. They intend to add more categories next year.
The IFBB Elite Pro Night of Champions will be held in the newly refurbished Aviation Suite at the Thistle Hotel, Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport in London, making it ideal for those traveling from abroad and convenient for competitors in the UK.
On October 25 and 26, the Aviation Suite will be transformed into a venue with a stage befitting the best show of the year. The event will be held just two weeks after the world-famous Arnold Sports Festival Europe so the promoters hope to see many world-class pros participate in this event.
Elite Pros from Australia, Barbados, Germany, Spain, and Eastern Europe, as well as the UK, have already registered their intent to compete.
The $37,500 prize money put forward by Dr Vic shows how serious his commitment is to ensuring the competitors are looked after.
The 2024 Dr. Vic BPA Supershow
On the same evening, the BPA will be organizing the 2024 Dr. Vic BPA Supershow.
The event will be taking place at the Thistle Hotel at Heathrow, London, and will have a £20,000 prize fund and invitations to compete in the IFBB Elite Pro Night of Champions in the same venue that evening.
The BPA will also be inviting the winners at its British Championships on September 29 at the Athena in Leicester to compete in the IFBB Elite Pro Night of Champions.
Dr. Vic and Helen O’Reilly
Dr Vic, who has multiple businesses, aims to inspire young people not only in business, but also in health and fitness. An accomplished competitor himself, he experienced some serious failings in the many organizations running shows in the UK.
Dr. Vic noticed the BPA was setting new standards of professionalism and care for the athletes, which matched his vision to build up the UK bodybuilding and fitness scene and leave a legacy.
BPA President Helen O’Reilly has been involved in the bodybuilding and fitness scene for over 30 years. A previous competitor with British, European and Miss Universe titles, who was also one of TV’s original Gladiators, she understands things from a competitor’s perspective.
Helen has judged all over the world at European, World Championships, the Arnold Amateur, and pro shows. Helen also promotes the Masters Allstars, Rising Stars and the now famous English Grand Prix, which is now in its 10th year.
