William Bonac Wins his second Arnold Classic Title

$412,000 to be shared between four divisions at the 2021 Arnold Classic.

The Arnold Classic is back on the 2021 NPC/Pro League competition schedule, but it will not be the large event that bodybuilding and fitness fans are expecting.

Up until 2020, the Arnold Sports Festival, Ohio, was one of the biggest events of the year. Not only was the Arnold Classic a bodybuilding and fitness event, but it had a very successful expo as well.

This all changed in 2020 when Covid-19 devastated the world. The 2020 version of the Arnold Classic was hit hard as restrictions were implemented just a day before the event was to start.

The expo was cancelled and a limited number of spectators were given access to watch the bodybuilding and fitness competitions.

As the 2021 bodybuilding and fitness competition started, there was no word about the Arnold Classic, Ohio.

The dates for the UK and Europe Arnold Sports Festival was confirmed, but the original and biggest Arnold Classic that takes place in the USA had no confirmed date.

Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Fitness International and Bikini International will be the only divisions at this years event.

In previous years, the Arnold Sports Festival, Ohio, was always scheduled for March, but in 2021 it would not be.

Speculation about an alleged rift between Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Lorimer’s was spreading like wildfire. Many people in the industry believed that the Arnold Classic, Ohio or even all the other related events would never happen again.

After rumors spread by some media about possible venues for the 2021 Arnold Classic Ohio, the Arnold Classic organizers finally confirmed 25 September, 2021 as the official date.

The venue will be the same location as it was held in previous years, the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Ohio.

What many athletes and spectators failed to notice is that the 2021 version of the Arnold Classic will only have four divisions. The organizers wish to “pay homage to its roots as competitors in the Arnold Classic.”

Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Fitness International and Bikini International will be the only divisions at this years event.

It’s still not confirmed if the organizers will include the famous Strongman competition that has become a highlight of this event.

Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding championships and a number of pro divisions such as Wellness and Men’s Physique have been excluded from this years event.

Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding championships and a number of pro divisions such as Wellness and Men’s Physique have been excluded from this years event.

A total of $412,000 in prize money will be shared between the four divisions, plus qualification for the 2022 Olympia Weekend. The final date to qualify for the 2021 Olympia Weekend is 12 September, 2021.

The famous Arnold Sports Festival Expo will also not be taking place this year.

The smaller version of the Arnold Classic could be due to the organizers playing it safe, until the Covid-19 pandemic finally ends.

The 2022 Arnold Sports Festival, including the Arnold Fitness EXPO, Arnold Classic, Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding Championships and an unprecedented lineup of physique, strength, combat and related sports and events, will return to the Greater Columbus Convention Center from March 3-6, 2022.
