Juan “Diesel” Morel to focus on training again in 2022

Juan Diesel Morel has hinted that he might return to competitive bodybuilding in 2022. Juan took a break from competitive bodybuilding to focus on building his business.

Juan Morel was a very successful bodybuilder when he was focused on the sport.

Earning his pro card in 2011, Juan started his professional career in 2012 with a victory at the IFBB Battle of Champions.

Juan’s victory in 2012, was the first of six professional bodybuilding wins for Juan Morel.

Morel went on to add another two victories in Toronto, two in New York and finally another in South America to his resume.

Up till 2019, Juan Morel was a consistent top five finisher at the majority of contests he competed in. Unfortunately, when it was time for the Mr. Olympia, Juan would find it difficult to crack the top ten.

The final appearance for Juan, was in 2019 at the Mr. Olympia, where he had to settle for 16th.

In the last few years of his competitive career, Juan and his wife started a business producing protein cookies.

My Cookie Dealer‘ would end up becoming a very successful business, selling cookies all over the world.

With his business growing, Juan had to take a break from competitive bodybuilding and even the gym on some occasions.

Just two years after his last competition and his successful business up and running, it seems the urge to return to serious training has returned to Juan.

In a recent post on his official Instagram page, Juan has confirmed that he will be returning to the gym for some serious training.

It seems eating the occasional cookies at his store has taken its toll and the champion bodybuilder wants to get back in shape.

Juan also confirmed that if he is in shape and on schedule, he might compete in 2022, if not he will wait till 2023.

At 39, Juan still has a number of years to compete head to head against the best in the world.

It still has to be seen if Juan can finally compete for a top five placing at the Mr. Olympia.
