Photos & Results: 2023 IFBB World Amateur Championships – Day 1
The IFBB World Bodybuilding and Fitness championships will be taking place between 1-6 November 2023.
The IFBB World Championships is IFBB’s biggest amateur event of the year, offering a platform for the best amateur athletes in the world, to represent their country on the world stage.
Some of the best bodybuilders in the history of the sport have graced the IFBB World Championships stage.
The level of competition at the IFBB World Championships is at the highest level, with IFBB-affiliated countries from all over the world, sending their best athletes with the ultimate goal of winning the prestigious IFBB World Championship gold medal.
Athletes arrived on 31 October 2023, and immediately proceeded to register for the event.
On the same day, the IFBB Annual Congress took place at the Parc Colomer. This is a very important part of the event, as IFBB Delegates from all over the world, meet to discuss IFBB’s new rules, events, and vote to pass new amendments.
The action today, 1 November, with over 1,700 athletes taking to the stage in various categories. The bodybuilding and fitness events will run from 1-5 November, with approximately 12 hours of competition daily.
As with every international IFBB event, every athlete will have the opportunity to earn their pro status, by qualifying as an IFBB Elite Pro. 64 IFBB Elite Pro cards will be available to be won in various categories.
