However, while he’s passionate about creating quality supplements, none of them offer any money-back guarantee – including Alpha JYM.

Alpha JYM mostly uses herbal ingredients to support your natural testosterone production.

Its claimed benefits are:

Alpha JYM achieves these benefits through a number of ways.

Firstly, it stimulates your pituitary gland to create more luteinizing hormone.

Some of them are good, some not so much.

One thing you as a customer will surely appreciate, is that Alpha JYM doesn’t hide its ingredients behind a proprietary blend. You have to respect that, not every supplement maker will be 100% honest and transparent these days.

Alpha Jym Ingredients


Fenugreek is a herb that will raise your testosterone levels, but there’s a catch. In order to raise your T, fenugreek sacrifices another important masculine hormone – DHT. See, there’s an enzyme in your body called 5-alpha-reductase. It converts your testosterone into DHT and other hormones. Fenugreek blocks 5-alpha-reductase and as a result, you have more testosterone available.

However, it leaves less DHT available for your body, which can lead to hormone disbalance. No one still knows the full extent of negative side effects of this. (1)

Damiana Leaf Powder

Damiana is a shrub native to South and Central America. It has active compounds which stimulate your brain and nervous system. In fact, some people like to inhale it to get a mild “high”. Others use it to boost their libido. However, according to WebMD, there’s no scientific evidence for these uses. It’s also ineffective at raising your T levels. (2)

Ashwagandha Root Extract

Ashwagandha helps you adapt to stress, that’s why it’s called ‘adaptogen’. However, it has some additional benefits, such as:

  • Increased physical endurance, stamina, and strength
  • Improved muscle mass
  • Enhanced testosterone levels

While the last one hasn’t been studied enough yet, the current research looks quite promising. (3)


DIM was one of the most popular ingredients in testosterone boosters back in the day. However, testosterone boosters now use it less and less. And there’s a good reason for that. See, DIM can make your body produce more estrogen, which is the opposite of what people believe it does.

Current research on this ingredient is mixed, so it’s possible that in some users it may enhance testosterone, while in others it may do the opposite. (4) So unless you like taking a gamble, we think it’s best to avoid this ingredient.

Tongkat Ali (LongJack)

LongJack is a slim and evergreen shrub native to South-East Asia. For a long time, men drank Tongkat Ali tea to boost their virility, sex drive, and physical performance. But what about testosterone, you ask? Well, it turns out there’s not much Tongkat Ali can do in that regard. (5)


Quercetin is an antioxidant and flavonoid that gives color to red wine, grapes, and other foods. It helps lower inflammation and oxidative stress in your body.

Dr. Jim Stoppani has included this ingredient because he believes it blocks certain enzymes that make you excrete testosterone through urine. Some people also claim it’s an aromatase inhibitor. However, until we see reputable human evidence that confirms these claims, we can’t say it belongs among the best T-boosting ingredients. (6)

Anything Missing?

When you compare Alpha JYM with current top-of-the-line T boosters, you’ll notice there are quite a few differences in ingredients.

For starters, best T boosters don’t include DIM because it’s a controversial ingredient. As we explained, it may increase your female sex hormone activity.

Other than that, Alpha JYM omitted some of our favorite ingredients, including:

  • Boron – Maintains healthy bones, strength, and increases T levels (7)
  • Mucuna – Boosts your dopamine levels, motivation, and luteinizing hormone – which stimulates Leydig cells in your testes to produce more testosterone (8)
  • Vitamin D3 – Arguably the most important ingredient in a testosterone booster. Vitamin D deficiency links to plummeting test levels. (9)
  • Magnesium – Raises your free testosterone levels in the blood.

How to Take Alpha JYM (Dosage & Servings)

Here’s how you take Alpha JYM:

  • 3 capsules twice per day – one serving in the morning, another in the evening

Alternatively, you can take one serving 1h before your workout and another in the evening or morning, depending on when you train.

Two daily servings are not bad for a testosterone booster. But can it be better?

Yes, it can.

Ideally, you want 3 daily servings in a testosterone booster. That’s what best test boosters use. Simply because the beneficial ingredients stay longer in your body than if you used just 1 or 2 servings.

The fewer servings you take, the weaker the benefits will be. Because ingredients can’t build up in your system.

Alpha JYM Negative Side Effects

With the exception of DIM, you shouldn’t experience any side effects from taking Alpha JYM.

Now, the issue with DIM, as we explained, is that in some studies it’s shown to raise estrogen. Which is the opposite of what it’s supposed to do.

A much safer alternative would be to include Indole-3-Carbinol, which is found in broccoli and naturally converts to DIM and other molecules in your stomach. When you take DIM alone, you don’t know what effects you’ll get because that’s not how it occurs in nature. I3C, on the other hand, is a completely natural ingredient.

There’s an online video of Jim Stoppani, the creator of Alpha JYM. In it, he talks about the effects of Alpha JYM and how long it takes to work.

According to Jim, you should give Alpha JYM at least 4 weeks to start working. He says that after this period, you should notice effects such as:

  • Increased energy levels
  • Improved focus
  • Elevated libido and sex drive

We aren’t sure how many of these effects are real and how many might be placebo. Simply because quite a few of the ingredients in Alpha JYM aren’t proven to offer these benefits.
