Who Makes Alpha King Supreme Testosterone Booster?

Force Factor, the company behind Alpha King, was born in 2009 in Massachusetts by two Harvard University rowers.

It claims to make supplements that will help you ‘Unleash your potential’.

“We are fueled by an insatiable desire to engineer high quality, safe, and efficacious performance supplements for the body and mind, creating some of the most novel formulas and winning numerous awards in the process”.

What are the benefits?

Force Factor says that King Alpha will:

  • Give you mind-blowing sexual performance!
  • Increase muscle and strength
  • Provide drive and vitality

It’s supposed to be the formula made for greatness, but is it really?

Let’s dive into the ingredients to find out!

Exploring Alpha King Testosterone Booster’s Ingredients

As Alpha King has been recently redesigned and improved, the new version differs slightly from the old one.

The older version contained, amongst other, DIM and boron, as well as a vitamin blend.

The new version also contains a mix of additional active ingredients:

  1. Fenugreek
  2. Horny Goat Weed (Icariin)
  3. Black Maca
  4. Ashwagandha
  5. Lion’s Mane Mushroom
  6. Saw Palmetto Extract
  7. Stinging Nettle
  8. Pumpkin Seeds
  9. L- Citrulline
  10. Pine Bark
  11. Black Pepper

Some of them, such as ashwagandha, fenugreek and stinging nettle, are commonly used in testosterone boosters as they may improve libido, muscle mass and strength.

This product also contains a few interesting ingredients that are not commonly added to similar products.

Let’s see if these ingredients are scientifically proven and therefore able to back up Force Factor’s claims.

Horny Goat Weed (Icariin) 100mg

Widely used in Chinese medicine, this little herb has 15 different species. It’s often used to enhance sexual performance, for erectile dysfunction, as well as for menopause and osteoporosis.

Icariin is said to work in a similar way to Viagra because it allows for blood flow to the arteries causing an erection. Though keep in mind that Viagra is 80 times more potent.

On a more positive note, Icariin can actually increase testosterone levels significantly (1), so you could safely use it for that added oomph.

Black Maca 100mg

Did you know that Maca has been used for centuries as an aphrodisiac? and for a good reason.

One study from 2002, proved that taking maca for 8 to 12 weeks can increase the libido and testosterone levels in human subjects(2).

If you are looking to start a family, maca can help with that, too because one study on healthy 20-40-year-old men proved maca’s ability to increase sperm count and motility.(3)

Lion’s Mane Mushroom 100mg

Even though these mushrooms resemble lion’s mane, they have not been proven to increase testosterone or muscle power.

Instead they can strengthen the immune system (in rats), which is always a plus.(4)

Saw Palmetto Extract 300mgG

Saw Palmetto is a palm that grows in the US and is commonly used for hair loss and boosting testosterone. And it does just that!

It can actually improve hair growth in 60% of men suffering from male pattern baldness!(5) That’s huge!

If that was not enough, this little palm also increases testosterone levels, body composition, libido, mood and cognition.(6)

Pumpkin Seeds 100mg

If you want to reap maximum benefits from your supplement, look no further than to those containing pumpkin seeds (or eat them whole)

Pumpkin seeds are not only highly nutritious (with huge amounts of minerals and antioxidants in them) but can also work for:

  • Improved bladder function
  • Makes your heart healthier
  • Lowers blood sugar levels
  • Makes you sleep like a baby (due to high magnesium content)

If all of the above is not enough to persuade you to consume pumpkin seeds daily, then read this.

L-Citrulline 1500mg

L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid naturally made by the human body but interestingly, unlike other amino acids, this one doesn’t make protein

Instead, it is mainly responsible for increasing vasodilation (which is the widening of arteries), which in turn can improve blood flow and lower blood pressure (7).

In supplements, L-Citrulline often comes from watermelon and has been praised for its perceived abilities to increase endurance when exercising. Unfortunately, science hasn’t found a link between consuming L-Citrulline and boosting sports performance (8).

On the flip side, L-Citrulline has been shown to allow for over 50% more reps when weight lifting!(9)

Pine Bark 100mg

Pine bark will not help you boost testosterone or increase muscle mass but is excellent for a improving mood and helping you relax and feel better. One reason it is often included in nootropic supplements.

Black Pepper 5mg

There are a number of benefits of taking a black pepper supplement (or adding it to your diet). Some include:

  • Reducing inflammation
  • Improving brain function
  • Lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels
  • Anti-cancer
  • Gut health booster
  • Better nutrient absorption

Interestingly, black pepper has been shown to increase the libido of adult mice (whether it works the same for human subjects is yet unknown)(10).

Is anything missing?

As we can see in the ingredients section above, Alpha King has a varied formula that is packed with nutritious ingredients.

Its multivitamin and mineral blend also ensures no need for taking more pills and overall, we are happy with the new formula of Alpha King.

What’s the dosage?

The dosage instructions are a little confusing because the official website states that you should ‘take 4 tablets daily with breakfast’, whilst bodybuilding.com, says to take only 3. After looking at the product’s label we can confirm that it is 4 tablets that should be taken with breakfast.

Additionally, Force Factor has given us a clear ‘how it works’ breakdown:

Once you take the 4 tablets, the product will immediately start lowering your estrogen and begin boosting testosterone. This will then be followed by increased mental clarity, libido and enhanced strength.

Is this a product made for a true king?

We think not. Read on to find out why.

Alpha King Supreme Testosterone Booster side-effects.

Alpha King’s formula does not contain very high amounts of ingredients so the supplement is generally safe to use but, as with any test booster, there are some things you need to be aware of before purchasing.

What’s more, those of you taking Viagra or nitrates (for heart disease) should consult your doctor first before taking L-Citrulline, as it can alter the effects of these drugs. The same applies if you have high blood pressure, are pregnant or nursing.

Some people also experience adverse reactions when taking stinging nettle, and those who take beta-blockers or diabetes medication should be wary of supplements containing this plant, as it can enhance their effect.

Lastly, if you have thyroid problems such as Hashimoto’s or Grave’s disease, you should be careful with consuming maca. The goitrogens content may interfere with your thyroid’s production of hormones.

How much does it cost?

There are 3 bottle sizes of this booster – 45, 90 and 120 tablets. The latter is a new and improved version of the supplement available only from Force Factor’s website.

You could try to find a cheaper bundle through the likes of Amazon, eBay, or :

Bodybuilding.com

45 tablets: $44.99 – currently on offer for $33.74

90 tablets: $89.99 – currently on offer for $67.49

Force Factor

120 tablets: $89.99

The newly improved product can also be found on Amazon, iHerb, Walmart, Vitamin World and Walgreens.

Is Alpha King Supreme Testosterone Booster good value for money?

The amounts of active ingredients in the new formula of Alpha King are an improvement and in fact many of those ingredients back up the claims made by Force Factor.

We did worry that the low levels of each ingredient in the formula may not be enough to fully provide all the benefits they claim and the many possible side effects of this supplement, make it unsuitable for those with thyroid problems of sensitive stomachs.

We also don’t think it’s the best choice of a testosterone booster available on the market right now.

Our conclusion

So will Alpha King make you a king?

Not necessarily but it maybe a good choice if you are looking for a little general health boost.

Much of the formula in Alpha King is quite broad so it may not be enough to meet all your needs.

The majority of the ingredients have only been proven to boost libido and are not likely to improve your gym performance or aid with muscle growth.

For these reasons we would recommend a more well-rounded product like Centrapeak which is formulated with the most necessary ingredients and proven to increase strength and enhance testosterone.
