Working out is a very rewarding experience both mentally and physically, but people often find it difficult to stay consistent in the gym because it can be monotonous and the results aren’t instant. Especially for people who are getting into fitness with a specific end goal in mind such as losing fat or bulking up, it can be difficult to stay consistent over a long period of time. 2. Improvise

If you are working out at a gym, you will have plenty of equipment available to you and it’s easy to develop a workout routine that is both effective and entertaining. Rather than sticking to the same equipment, try out new things and explore new ways of training the same muscle group. Just because you are dieting doesn’t mean your food can’t have flavor and be more enjoyable. You don’t have to lose flavor because you are cutting the fat, there are a lot of ways you can work around the low-fat condition to ensure your food still tastes great. You could even go for a Keto diet which is all about fat, and you can get to eat as much fat as you like.

4. Use Inches Not Pounds

A lot of people want to weigh a certain weight when what they actually want is to look a certain way. Rather than focusing on fat loss or weight gain, you should focus on the look of your physique and the sizes and proportions of your body. Weight is not a good measure of health or physical appearance. By using your body measurements and looking for symmetry in the mirror, you can focus more on actually developing your body rather than just doing mindless miles on the treadmill. Get out the tape measure and write down how big or small you want to be.

Working out is not just about making a change to your body, it is about changing your lifestyle, as well as the way you live your life. You want to make a change that is sustainable and something that is not just a chore but more of what you truly enjoy doing.
