Arnold Sports Festival UK returns in 2024.
The Arnold Sports organizers, have officially confirmed that the Arnold Sports Festival UK, will return in 2024.
After months of speculation, the announcement was made official, all over the Arnold Sports Festival’s official media outlets.
Not much information has been revealed, but the venue has been confirmed, which will be at the Birmingham, National Exhibition Centre (NEC), 15-17 March, 2024.
The Arnold Sports Festival UK, was not organized in 2023. After the organizers faced some controversy in 2022, it was decided to skip the 2023 edition of the event.
Sources close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, have alleged that, World Championship Events, Inc, the company that runs the Arnold Classic USA, are taking total control of the 2024 Arnold UK.
The Arnold Classic UK – A history of controversy
Previously, the Arnold Sports Festival UK was promoted, and organized by two separate companies. With so much controversy surrounding the event in 2022, they will be referred as “Company A”, and “Company B”, in this article.
“Company A”, took care of promoting the event, and everything that had to do with ticket sales, celebrities, venue, sporting events, seminars, and day-to-day duties.
“Company B”, had the role of taking care of the bodybuilding and fitness event. Sanctioned by the NPC, and Pro League. “Company B”, unfortunately had alleged issues with “Company A”.
Weeks before the 2022 Arnold Classic UK, it was alleged that there was financial issues, and the professional bodybuilding/fitness event was close to being cancelled, but “Company B”, took full responsibility to pay the prize money for the professional athletes.
Another major blow to the UK event in 2022, was the absence of Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. Arnold decided to pullout from the event, at the last minute, after a disagreement with “Company A”. This caused a number of fans, who purchased very expensive tickets, to criticize the event, and its promoters.
Evolutionofbodybuilding.net contacted Brian Powers, Executive Director of Arnold Sports Global, following the event in 2022, and he had confirmed that there is a future for the event in the UK, obviously with different promoters.
Arnold Sports Festival UK returns in 2024
The news of the Arnold Sports Festival UK returning in 2024, is a breath of fresh air for the bodybuilding, and fitness community, in the UK.
Evolutionofbodybuilding.net can confirm that the organizers will be working with a new team of promoters, for the Arnold Sports UK Expo, and Arnold Classic UK bodybuilding event.
It remains to be seen if World Championship Events, Inc, will organize both the expo, and bodybuilding event, or hand over the responsibility to another company, based in Europe, or in the USA.
Will Arnold Schwarzenegger make an appearance in the UK? It is still to early to confirm, but with Schwarzenegger’s company taking more responsibility for the event, there is a big chance that he will travel to the UK, for the event in 2024.
In regards to star athletes attending the UK event, the event in the UK will be taking place just two-weeks after the Arnold Classic in the USA. With Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his company having more control over the event in the UK, there is a great possibility that the majority of Pro League’s star athletes, will make the trip to the UK for the event.
