WATCH: Big Ramy – Epic Chest Workout and New Sponsor.
One of the best bodybuilders in recent years, Big Ramy (Mamdouh Elssbiay) is a fan favorite and is still one of the favorites to eventually lift the Olympia title.
Big Ramy has steadily improved in his placings at the Mr. Olympia throughout his career. He has been climbing to the top since his first Mr. Olympia contest in 2013.
When Big Ramy placed second to Phil Heath in 2017, he was the sure favorite to possibly dethrone Heath in 2018, but unfortunately for big Ramy it did not go his way. Not only did Big Ramy not dethrone Phil Heath, he fell to sixth place and the eventual winner would be Shawn Rhoden.

Big Ramy almost looked like he was going to leave the sport forever after his placing at the 2018 Mr. Olympia. The gentle giant was crushed with his results and immediately apologized to all his fans and supporters.
The situation immediately changed for Big Ramy afterwards. He left the famous Oxygen Gym and as well hired one of the best trainers in the world, Neil Hill.

After the 2018 Olympia Weekend, Big Ramy did a Dorian Yates and completely disappeared. He did not appear in any social media or in any publications.
All of a sudden, in March, Big Ramy appears again in a new chest training video and as well showing off his new sponsor.
It looks like he is in good spirits and hopefully will be planning to step on the Olympia stage again in 2019.
