Bob Cicherillo walks away from the Arnold Classic.
This year at the 2025 Arnold Classic, which is taking place between the 27th February and the 2nd March, will have something missing on stage at the pro events.
Bob Cicherillo, or the Voice of Bodybuilding as everybody knows him, will not be working as an emcee at the 2025 Arnold Classic, which means we will not hear his famous voice calling out the competitors and cracking a joke during the event.
Let’s get to know Bob
Bob Cicherillo, a very popular bodybuilder, is known as one of the best bodybuilding historians, and a bodybuilding pundit, sharing his knowledge and criticism across various media outlets, which includes his own YouTube channel, the VOB Podcast.
Bob is also known as the “Athletes Rep” for the NPC and Pro League, and has also made a name for himself as the best bodybuilding emcee in the business.
For as long as we can remember, Cicherillo has been calling out the winner at Olympia qualifiers, and as well, the Olympia Weekend itself, seeing history being made in front of his eyes just steps away.
Being an emcee is not as easy as everybody thinks, a lot is going on in the background, and when things go wrong, that is where an emcee with vast experience comes in to sort things out. Without the spectators even noticing, on many occasions Bob handled situations in an organized and calm manner.
Bob Cicherillo will not be calling the shots at the 2025 Arnold Classic
According to inside sources very close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, Bob Cicherillo will allegedly never work for the Arnold Classic, as long as Brian Powers is calling the shots.
According to inside sources, allegedly Bob Cicherillo did not want his name or voice to be associated with this event after it was allegedly so badly run and with several people being so incompetent.
Brian Powers, who is the Global Executive Director of the Arnold Sports Festival, has allegedly clashed with several high-profile people in the bodybuilding industry, since he has replaced Arnold Schwarzenegger’s former partner, Bob Lorimer, at the Arnold Classic.
Bob has seen everything in the sport of bodybuilding, and to have him walk away from the second biggest event after the Olympia Weekend is not something to ignore.
It raises a few questions about how the event is organized, and how Brian Powers treats the people that work with him.
Leading up to the event, Fouad Abiad also confirmed on his podcast, that he will not be working at the Arnold Classic as a commentator.
Who will replace Bob Cicherillo?
Replacing Bob Cicherillo is no easy task, but according to sources, David Baye will be taking over the hot seat as emcee.
David Baye, who is also a popular bodybuilding pundit, working with various media outlets, events, and who is also a former employee of Brian Powers and the Arnold Classic, will be replacing his longtime friend Bob Cicherillo.
While we are all sure that Bob Cicherillo will still have a very busy schedule, and not look back, we would like to wish the best of luck to David Baye.
