Bodybuilding legend Bill Pearl dies at 91
One of the most popular bodybuilders in the history of the sport, Bill Pearl, has passed away at the age of 91.
Sources close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net confirmed the news of his death. The cause of death was not confirmed at the time of publishing this article.
Bill was a very successful bodybuilder, trainer and author. Bill won a number of prestigious titles during his bodybuilder career.
Bill was born on October 31, 1930, Prineville, Oregon, United States.
In 1953, Bill stamped his authority when he won thr AAU Mr. America and NABBA Mr. Universe Overall title.
In 1956, Bill would add the Mr. USA title to his resume and as well went on to win the NABBA Tall Class Mr. Universe.
in 1961, 1967 and 1971, Bill went on to dominate the NABBA Mr. Universe by winning the overall title in the three years he competed.
During his successful bodybuilding career, Bill never competed with the IFBB.

Last April, Bill Pearl was lucky to be alive after he had a freak accident at his farm.
According to a post published by his representative, Bill Pearl was moving is lawn, riding his Craftsman Mower.
While driving the mower, and it got stuck on a squirrel mound, Bill then put the mower in reverse to back off of it and it jumped, and being close to an embankment, rolled over the edge and came to rest against the barn, on top of Bill’s back.
Lucky for Bill, two men arrived in their truck and lifted the mover off of Bill’s back.
The series injury that Bill suffered was a fractured T-10 vertebrae. Bill endured a six hour operation and he should be sent home in a few days.
