Bodybuilding star Gustavo Badell dies at 50.

The bodybuilding world is in mourning after hearing that bodybuilding star, Gustavo Badell as passed away.

Gustavo passed away at the young age of 50 (3-11-72 to 13-7-23), leaving behind his loving family, friends, and an incredible fan base.

According to sources close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, it is alleged the cause of death was due to a stroke. At the same time, it is alleged that Gustavo also had a kidney transplant.

Starting his bodybuilding career in the latest 90’s as an amateur withing the IFBB, Gustavo climbed the amateur ranks, to finally start his pro career in 1997.

Gustavo earned his pro card in 1997, by winning the Caribbean Championships, but in the same year, placed 10th at the IFBB Amateur World Championships.

Badell was one of the most consistent athletes, competing on a regular basis on the pro circuit.

Gustavo’s professional bodybuilding career finally took off in 2004, when he placed third at the Ironman Pro, San Francisco Pro, Show of Strength, and final the Mr. Olympia, behind Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman.

In 2005, Gustavo finally earned victory, by winning the Ironman Pro, and placed third again at the Mr. Olympia.

Gustavo made a name for himself when he defeated Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman during the 2005 Mr. Olympia Challenge Round.

After 2005, Gustavo’s results at the bigger events would decline, but he still managed to earn two more victories at the San Francisco Pro in 2006, and the Atlantic City Pro in 2009.

Gustavo would return to the professional stage after a few years off in 2012, but he would not have the success he had in previous years.
