Exactly one year ago, on 12 April, 2022, the bodybuilding world woke to the news of Cedric McMillan’s death.
The news of Cedric’s death rocked the bodybuilding world to its core. Cedric was one of the most respected athletes in the industry, on and off the stage.
Cedric passed away at the young age of 44.
Cedric used to put a smile on everybody’s face, with his jokes, and outgoing character.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, was a big fan of Cedric McMillan, never hiding his admiration for the 2017 Arnold Classic winner.
Cedric McMillan referred to himself as “The One”, after Arnold Schwarzenegger praised his incredible physique, and majestic posing routines.
To many people, Cedric had the perfect physique, but he never dieted to the point where he was crazy ripped or vascular.
Cedric’s most memorable victory was when he won the Arnold Classic in 2017. His speech with Arnold Schwarzenegger, will go down in history as the best ever.
Cedric McMillan was also a Staff Sergeant and instructor at Fort Jackson, SC.
McMillan has left a great void in the bodybuilding industry, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest to ever grace the bodybuilding stage.
Patty McMillan remembers her late husband
On the first anniversary of her late husband’s death, Patty McMillan, published a post on her personal Instagram page, answering her critics.
“You will never be forgotten, I PROMISE YOU!!! My life with you was so precious, and i was honored to be your wife. You would be so proud of me right now! I finally got my Greencard. I had to start all over what you began, but i got it! I know you’re watching down on me from heaven. Knowing you are in peace comforts my soul. You were in so much pain, and it’s selfish to say we wish you stayed longer. My dearest Cedric, i will forever love you. This time last year was the last night i will never forget. Thank you for our beautiful memories” – Patty McMillan
According to posts published on her Instagram page, Patty has moved on and started a new life. It seems that she has allegedly come under some criticism.
