Coronavirus forces cancellation of bodybuilding

Coronavirus forces cancellation of bodybuilding and fitness competitions all over the world.

The entire world has shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Every major sport or entertainment organization had to either postpone their events or continue with their events behind closed doors.

The NBA, NHL, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga, Bundesliga, MotoGP, Formula 1 and many other major sport organizations suspended some or all their events.

Bodybuilding and Fitness events could not run away from the coronavirus as numerous shows, especially across Europe had to cancel their events.

In the last couple of days, the number of bodybuilding events from various federations have been cancelled.

Athletes that have prepared for months with strict diets and grueling training routines will be hit hard by these difficult decisions.

Promoters and federations that have already invested in these competitions will surely feel the loss, but difficult decisions had to be taken.

The first priority at any event is the health and safety of the athlete and spectator.

Even if an event had to run as scheduled, the majority of athletes would have a difficult time traveling, as the USA and a number of European countries have shutdown a number of flights leaving and entering their countries.

As it looks, more events will continue to be cancelled in the next month until the coronavirus threat decreases.
