“COVID-19 is extremely dangerous and unforgiving” – Lee Haney.

Lee Haney is one of the most humble human beings on the planet. He was the best representative of the Mr. Olympia during his reign and even during his retirement.

Haney always spoke with care and thought at every press conference, interview and even preaching the good word.

Raised with good values, Haney is a person that every athlete can look up to for inspiration.

Lee Haney recently published some powerful words in relation to the Covid-19 crisis that hit the world and especially the USA.

In his post, Lee Haney emphasizes the importance of following the Covid-19 safety guidelines and to wear a mask, contrary to what many people are suggesting.

Lee Haney also gives an example of when a man sneezed in his face to end up spending time in the hospital after contracting an airborne bacterial virus that effected his right lung.

The doctors told Haney that if it was not for his great fitness, he could have possibly suffered more serious complications.

“Case in point, two years ago, while leaving one of my favorite family restaurants, a man openly sneezed directly in front of me… 24 hours later,
I was in the emergency room with bone chilling shakes. According to the Dr. who saw me, I contracted a airborne bacterial virus that effected my right lung. He put me on a Z Pack and antibiotics for treatment. He said that because of my fitness, it wasn’t more serious. It’s quite possible, that a face mask could have prevent that episode from happening” – Lee Haney.

Lee Haney uses this example from two years ago to explain the importance of wearing a mask.

Haney insists on the importance of wearing a face mask and follow social distancing laws because the covid-19 threat is very serious, dangerous and unforgiving.

A word of caution Facebook Family.
Our nation is in danger of the very freedoms that sometimes cloud our judgement. I’m speaking of wearing face mask. I understand that being forced to do so is a violation of our freedoms. However, most of us would agree that when it endangers the health of others, precautionary measures need to be put in place.
Case in point, two years ago, while leaving one of my favorite family restaurants, a man openly sneezed directly in front of me. He had no time to cover his face, nor did I have an opportunity to avoid it. As I walk past him, I thought to myself,
I hope I didn’t catch anything.
However, 24 hours later,
I was in the emergency room with bone chilling shakes. According to the Dr. who saw me, I contracted a airborne bacterial virus that effected my right lung. He put me on a Z Pack and antibiotics for treatment. He said that because of my fitness, it wasn’t more serious. It’s quite possible, that a face mask could have prevent that episode from happening . In a few days, I was back training again. However, I was left with a $900 medical bill created by someone else.
In this particular environment, It may have played out differently. This COVID-19 is extremely dangerous and unforgiving.
Family, please wear your face mask, use hand sanitizers, and practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC and WHO. Let’s do the right thing and lay aside our pride, just to prove a point. Your family, your friends, your community, and the world is depending on is to keep revolving. As Forrest Gump would say “that’s all I got to say about that” – Lee Haney
