Face masks Gold's gym

Face masks must be worn during workout at Gold’s Gym Venice.

Gold’s Gym Venice members are furious with the new rules that have been implemented.

Just a few days ago, bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger went to Gold’s Gym Venice to have a workout since it re-opened after the Covid-19 crisis.

Immediately on arrival, Schwarzenegger got back on his bike and left the premises.

According to reports, Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to train as members were not wearing face masks during their workout.

At that moment, the policy was that a face mask must be worn only on entry and when leaving the gym, but not during workout.

Arnold had some medical issues in the past few years, forcing him to be very careful when entering public places since the coronavirus threat.

The majority of Gold’s Gym Venice gym members basically laughed at Arnold’s comments, but management seems to have taken them seriously.

Just a few days after Arnold’s comments, Gold’s Gym Venice management contacted their members notifying them that face masks MUST be worn during their entire workout.

Gold’s Gym Venice members are furious with the new rules and have been venting their frustration on social media.

A number of longtime members have decided to leave Gold’s Gym Venice and train at other facilities in the same area. A number of members are turning to private or home gyms.

A number of Gold’s Gym Venice members have contacted Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, venting their frustration about the situation.

Attention Venice Members:

Gold’s Gym continues to follow all federal, state and local guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our Members and Team Members.

Recently, the local guidelines for California have been updated to require masks be worn during your gym visit.

Per these new local guidelines, all Members should wear a mask when inside the gym.

Masks are not required outdoors in the gym. Masks are not required outdoors in The Yard as long as you have the ability to maintain a 6 ft distance from other Members.

Additionally, masks may be removed briefly when you are consuming drinks during your workout.

The new face mask law not only affected gyms but other establishments as well.

The new law came into force due to the recent spike in coronavirus cases in California.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also reacted by leaving a message on his official Twitter page:

This is 100% the right move. This will help us beat this terrible virus. The science is unanimous – if we all wear masks, we slow down the spread and can reopen safely. It’s not a political issue. Anyone making it a political issue is an absolute moron who can’t read. – Arnold Schwarzenegger.
