Featured Coach: Alex Jamal – Teaching the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Evolutionofbodybuilding.net‘s next featured athlete is Alex Jamal, an athlete and now coach/nutritionist, who resides in Los Angeles.

Alex is not the typical fitness coach that many would see on social media, his focus is not on mass monsters in the bodybuilding industry, but he focuses on the normal person or young athletes, showing them the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Alex started participating in sports at the age of 17. Basketball was his choice, playing in the position of a playmaker, since he was not the tallest person in the team.

Unfortunately, Alex suffered an ankle injury, that prevented him from continuing in the sport of basketball.

Alex then decided to join a gym and focus on lifting weights to become bigger and stronger.

Not only focusing on sports and training, Alex made sure he focused on his education, especially biology, and chemistry.

Alex also enjoyed learning about science and started to focus on nutrition and training, with the goal of improving himself.

University was the next step for Alex and he studied personal training, strength and conditioning, and nutrition.

At the age of 20, Alex reached his goal to become a certified trainer.

Fast forward 20 years, Alex has become one of the most trusted coaches/nutritionists in LA.

Experience on the bodybuilding stage

During his studies, Alex continued to train and built a great physique.

At the age of 27, Alex won Mr. Lebanon and Mr. Beirut. Alex had the dream of competing with the IFBB and the IFBB Amateur World Championships by the age of 30.

Alex managed to compete in ten events, of which five were international in the men’s physique division.

Managing to qualify for three Arnold CLassic amateur events in Columbus, Ohio, Alex was making a name for himself as a competitor.

Finally, Alex reached his goal by competing at the IFBB World Fitness Championships and Amateur Olympia.

In 2018, legendary bodybuilding promoter, and president of IFBB Physique America, named Alex as the IFBB Chairman in California. This was something Alex only dreamt of achieving.

Alex took his new role seriously and promoted the IFBB LA Classic Championships, which was a success, sending two winners to the Arnold Classic Europe, representing the USA.

After the event, bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger met Alex at Gold’s Gym, in Venice, and congratulated him for his work in the fitness industry.

Being a regular at Gold’s Gym, Alex is one of the few that speaks to Arnold regularly during their workouts.

Focussing on Personal Training

Alex decided to move on from competing and start to focus on becoming a trusted coach and nutritionist.

Becoming a full-time coach/nutritionist is not an easy task, but Alex managed to earn the trust of numerous clients, giving him the opportunity to work full-time.

Alex not only trains clients at Gold’s Gym in Venice, but he has no problem meeting clients at other locations all over LA. Alex publishes footage on a regular basis, showing his clientele training everywhere.

If you are not in the area, Alex also offers his services online.

Alex is also making a name for himself, becoming a trainer of the stars.

Sylvester Stallone’s brother Frank, the famous musician and actor, is one of Alex’s dedicated clients. Alex can be seen at Gold’s Gym, training Frank on a regular basis, and occasionally, Sly makes an appearance.

Training Routine and Diet

Alex explains that he prefers the 3 days on and 1 off training routine. If he some free time in his busy schedule, Alex enjoys going for a hike as cardio.

Focussing on the larger muscles, in the beginning of the week.
