Final Mr. Olympia qualification spots up for grabs at the Arnold Classic.
On the 25th September, 2021, an exciting battle is going to take place in Columbus, Ohio. The best bodybuilders in the world will be fighting for the final opportunity to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia qualification .
Originally, the 2021 Arnold Classic USA was set to be a 2022 Olympia Weekend qualifier, but the organizers decided to have the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
In regards to Classic Physique, Bikini International and Fitness International, the winners and points accumulated will count for the 2022 Olympia Weekend.
With the 2021 Olympia Weekend set to take place just a few weeks later, 7-10 October, 2021. The bodybuilders competing at the Arnold Classic, will be focused on earning their qualification to the Mr. Olympia.
At the time 0f publishing this article, 11 of the top bodybuilders will be competing at the 2021 Arnold Classic.
Two athletes from the original competitors list have pulled out of the contest. 2017 Arnold Classic winner, Cedric McMillan, had to pull out due to an ongoing injury to his hand. The second competitor that just recently announced he will not be competing is Lionel Beyeke. Lionel will be missing the event due to travel complications from France to the USA.
Two time winner William Bonac will be looking to win his third Arnold Classic title. Already qualified for the 2021 Mr. Olympia, William will be going into the show focused only on defending his title.
Five athletes will be making their debut at the 2021 Arnold Classic. Seung Chul Lee, Mokhamed El Eman, Nick Walker, Iain Vallieri and Hassan Mostafa will all be hoping for a good result.
Iain and Nick are already qualified for the 2021 Mr. Olympia, leaving them with a little less pressure, compared to their fellow competitors.
A victory or a top three finish is a must for Hassan and Mokhamed to possibly earn a Mr. Olympia qualification.
Victory is also the only guarantee for debutant Seung Chul Lee to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
Akim Williams is another athlete that is already qualified for the 2021 Mr. Olympia. As with a number of other competitors, Akim will be focusing on a victory, to cement his status as one of the best bodybuilders in the industry.
Steve Kuclo’s Mr. Olympia qualification is also on the line. [Only a victory guarantees him a Mr. Olympia qualification. Anything other than first, will not be good enough. Steve only has four points on the Olympia qualification standings.
All eyes will also be on Sergio Oliva, Jr. The star bodybuilder will have a lot of pressure going into this event. Victory is the only option for Sergio to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia. This will be the first competition for Sergio this year.
Maxx Charles is also aiming for victory. Maxx sits on 11 points on the Mr. Olympia qualification standings. First place is the only option for Maxx to qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia. His fellow competitors at the same event have more points which leaves Maxx with no other option, he must win the show.
Finally, Justin Rodriguez will be hoping for a better result compared to placing seventh in 2018.
Justin is having a very successful 2021 season. He qualified for the 2021 Mr. Olympia by winning the Indy Pro and he also placed second at the New York Pro.
What is guaranteed is the bodybuilding world will be treated to a great contest, the best in recent years.
