Former Mr. India Ashish Sakharkar dies at 43.

The country of India has lost a bodybuilding star at the very young age of 43. Bodybuilding champion Ashish Sakharkar, has passed away at the age of 43.

According to reports, Ashish allegedly was battling an illness for a extended period of time.

On July 19, The Siasat Daily reported Sakharkar passed away at 43 years old late Tuesday night after succumbing to a prolonged illness.

Confirming the development Indian Body Builders Federation General Secretary (Miss) Hiral Sheth told IANS said that Sakharkar, 43, a resident of Parel, was suffering from certain health issues and had been admitted to a hospital in south Mumbai a week ago.

A bodybuilder in the 80-Kg Category, Sakharkar has won many national and international awards and was conferred the Maharashtra government’s Shiv Chhatrapati Award, she added.

Ashish is survived by his wife and son.
