Four athletes win IFBB Pro cards at the 2016 Amateur Olympia – Kuwait

In front of a crowded venue (Hilton Kuwait Resort Hotel), four new athletes won the Pro License in Men´s Physique and Bodybuilding sport divisions, after winning in their respective categories and took the Top 2 in the overall competition.

Iranian athlete Eshagh Ghavidel (pictured) won the overall in Bodybuilding, after reaching the gold medal in Heavyweight category (+95 kg), followed by local idol Redha Ali Al-Qabandi (gold medal in Light-Heavyweight, -95 kg), recent winner in Arnold Classic USA (Master Bodybuilding). They were the best two athletes over other 96 competitors, according a fully european judge panel.

In Men’s Phyisique, with 178 competitors divided in 5 categories as crowded as with 53 in Short Class (-170 cm); Kuwaitian athlete Omar Alkhalaf won the overall beside the Middle Class (-178 cm) and took the Pro Card, same as the first runner up, Ali Marafie (Kuwait), who won the gold medal in Tall-Middle Class (-182 cm).

The four new pro athletes were awarded by Presidente Santonja, joined by IFBB vice-president Dr. Adel Fahim El Sayed and Mr. Bader Boodai (KBBF president).
