Frank McGrath’s near-death experience.
Frank McGrath is one of the world’s most popular bodybuilders, thanks to working with a popular supplement company and climbing to the top as a professional bodybuilder.
Frank has been through it all, he suffered injuries, and had a serious car accident in 2010, but he continued to fight back, and get back on his feet.
Life still had more to throw at Frank, and he explains everything in detail.
On the IFBB AMA YouTube channel, Frank explains to Antoine Vaillant, that a few days before the 2023 Olympia Weekend, since he is on TRT, he took his usual testosterone injection, and everything went bad from that day forward.
Frank started to notice swelling in his arm, but shrugged it off until he passed out in the toilet.
At the hospital, the doctors also noticed that Frank was bleeding internally after several tests were done on him.
Frank made it a point to remind the viewers that he was born with one kidney, and is now on dialysis.
Frank admitted that he was not up-to-date with his blood work, and that he could have avoided all this, by finding out before.
While at the hospital, Frank was put on heavy medication and also had to have eight blood transfusions.
Frank made it a point to tell the viewers the importance of eating healthy, and taking care of your body. Going through an experience like this, made him think differently about life in general.
The mentality of losing size plays a big factor in a professional bodybuilder’s life, and Frank explains that this is not a priority anymore and that he just wants to live a healthy life.
