Frank Zane – Defined: The new documentary by Alex Ardenti.

Alex Ardenti, a very famous name in the bodybuilding industry when it comes films and photography, has just announced a new incredible project.

Ardenti announced on his official Facebook page that he will be working with bodybuilding legend and 3X Mr. Olympia winner Frank Zane.

The new film will be about Frank’s life from his early childhood to the present day.

Alex will need some actors to play Frank as some scenes will include several re-enactments.

He will be looking for actors to play Frank at 17, 19 and 25 and as well Christine Zane. Athletes will surely be getting in shape to try to earn a part in this film.

Alex has produced numerous films and series related to the bodybuilding industry, such as SUPPS The Movie, Rich Piana: The Final Season and many more productions. Check out his vast resume of films and other work on his official page Alexardenti.com or his IMDB page.

Alex Ardenti’s description of the film in his own words

I’m beyond honored to announce that I will begin filming my new full length documentary next week with the legendary Frank Zane titled Frank Zane Defined. This doc will be an introspective look into Mr Olympia’s iconic career and life from early childhood to present day. Lots of history, lots of great stories but also a great deal of expert advice from a man that completely changed bodybuilding and redefined what it meant to be a champion. Considered by many to be the most perfectly built bodybuilder of all time Zane started his very own era that brought proportions and balance to the forefront while setting new standards in muscle definition.

I will be including several re-enactments within the film so we will soon be holding casting sessions for actors that can play Frank at 17, 19 and 25 when he met his better half Christine who was 20 at the time, also casting an actress/model for her part.

I’ll have many more details on the project soon so stay tuned for updates and behind the scenes clips as we work with Frank. For now all I can say is that this is a dream project come true. Who would have thought that a 12 year old Italian kid that picked up Muscle Builder Magazine with Frank Zane on the cover in 1976 would one day be in Hollywood in 2020 making a movie about his idol? I may need a bit more time to let that really sink in. ‘ Alex Ardenti
