Champion bodybuilder George Peterson dies at 37

George Peterson was in Florida getting ready to compete at the 2021 Olympia Weekend.

Champion bodybuilder George Peterson dies at 37.

It has been announced by the Olympia Weekend organizers that Champion bodybuilder George Peterson has died.

The horrible news comes just two days before the 2021 Olympia Weekend opens its doors for the public.

The official cause of death was not known until the time of publishing.

Allegedly, George was found dead in his hotel room by members of his team.

George Peterson, was one of the best Classic Physique and 212 bodybuilders in the industry.

George won various contests including the 2019 Arnold Classic Classic Physique title and he is also a regular top three finisher in the Classic Physique and 212 divisions.

George looked to be in perfect health after publishing a video just a day before, educating his viewers on diet and training.

In 2020, George placed third at the 2020 Mr. Olympia, making him a clear favorite to challenge for the title this weekend.

George started competitive bodybuilding in 2008, but he entered the pro ranks in 2017 and impressed immediately. George competed in the Classic Physique division winning the 2017 Tampa Pro, placing second at the New York Pro and third at the Classic Physique Olympia.

Peterson competed as a Classic Physique competitor until 2020, he would then move up to the 212 division.

The news about George’s death was made official by the organizers of the Olympia Weekend.

The post read; “It is with great sadness that we report the unexpected passing of George Peterson, a champion on stage and off. Our condolences go out to his family and all who respected and admired one of the kindest men we have ever known.” – Mr. Olympia LLC.
