German bodybuilding star Andreas Frey dies suddenly at 43.
The bodybuilding world is in shock with the sudden death of German bodybuilder star, Andreas Frey.
According to reports from German media, Andreas passed away in his sleep, just days after celebrating his 43rd birthday. The cause of death has not been confirmed at the time of publishing this article.
Andreas was also the owner of the popular supplement brand, Frey Nutrition.
Born in Timisoara, Romania on 20 October 1979, Andreas then moved with his family to Germany at the age of 6. His grandmother was already living in Germany and that was one of the main reasons his family made the move.
Andreas started training at the young age of 15, and in the same year, he entered his first competition, to end up finishing in third place.
From 1995 – 2007, Andreas would have a successful bodybuilding career, competing all over the world, with various federations.
Andreas would have the most success with the IFBB and NABBA during his amateur years.
Unfortunatey, during the height of his career, Andreas suffered a chest injury that would derail his career.
Later on in his career, Andreas would focus his energy on his very successful supplement line, Frey Nutrition, and also coach various athletes.
