Giles Thomas denied media accreditation for the Arnold UK.
UPDATE (21:30 GMT+2) – Muscular Development Responds
Jen Giresi, Chief Operating Officer of Muscular Development stated, “We are not sponsoring Giles at Europa. He was hired by the promoter Emilio Martinez directly. We are happy for him and he was posting videos and photos to the MD IG of his trip. Giles was not aware of regulations regarding stage competition video. After he posted it, I ordered it removed and told him to hold any stage competition video until next week. In regards to Arnold UK, we were not sending him to Arnold UK. We did originally request a press request but then asked for it to be removed. We were concerned for a scheduling conflict and travel. We even considered sending Ron Harris & Hector Mendoza at one point.”
Jen Giresi also unblocked Evolutionofbodybuilding.net from Muscular Development’s Instagram page after Giles Thomas blocked this site.
A day after Muscular Development’s Giles Thomas was called out by Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, sources close to this site revealed more about the self proclaimed journalist.
While scrolling through Instagram, this site came across a live feed of the 2021 NPC Europa Championships being streamed by Muscular Development. Evolutionofbodybuilding.net published a post exposing Muscular Development streaming the live feed when the organizers were charging for this feed.
Giles Thomas immediately contacted Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, calling the owner a ‘dickhead’, and went on to say he had media rights.
Regardless if Giles Thomas had media rights, it is ridiculous to share a live stream when the promoters are charging fans to view the same event.
Giles then went on to say that only the Pro event cannot be shared, but this is far from the truth as the pay-per-view spanned from 12-15 August, 2021.

A day after Evolutionofbodybuilding.net published this story, Muscular Development removed all the footage of the event from their official Instagram page.
In the meantime, Giles Thomas took the liberty to ban this site from Muscular Developments Instagram page, without any authorization from management.
In a unexpected turn of events, a source very close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net has revealed more about Giles Thomas in relation to an event that is to take place in the near future.
Banned from the Arnold Sports Festival UK
The Arnold Sports Festival UK is taking place 1-3 October, 2021 in Birmingham.
A few weeks ago, it was made official that the Arnold Classic UK organizers made a exclusive deal with Redcon1 to make them their exclusive media partner.
The only journalists that will be given rights to use will be the popular A.J Kelly Robert, Justin Tunbridge – Arnold Media Director, George White and finally Bruna Bueno.
The source close to this site revealed some interesting facts about Giles by stating “Due to poor reporting standards of actual bodybuilding and a bigger priority to promote himself, this is the reason why Arnold’s UK decided to block all media. Only professional experienced media journalists such as AJ will be part of a team that will stream exclusive content to the Redcon1 website.”
This means that Muscular Development’s own UK self proclaimed journalist, Giles Thomas, was allegedly one of the reasons why the Arnold Sports Festival UK organizers banned all media.
Not only will Giles not have media access, but he will be banned from publishing any photos or videos of the event on his or Muscular Development’s media.
These new revelations are surely repercussions from the events that occurred at the 2021 Europa Championships.
The only way Giles can enter the event is by purchasing a ticket like every other fan.
The source close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net continued “This is a ground making deal with Recon1, it will hopefully set the bar high in an already saturated second rate journalistic problem within the industry, anyone with an IG account and iPhone are labelling themselves as journalists.”
It is a very sad situation for Giles Thomas, who is based in the UK. He is not recognized as potential media for the first ever Arnold Sports Festival UK.
The industry is starving for serious journalism related to the sport. The time has come when journalists should not be refrained from revealing the truth.
Some journalists hide the truth for their own advances, while the ones that reveal the truth are made to suffer financially and are criticized continuously.
Event Organizers take control
Organizers of major events are now taking their time to review who actually is offered press privileges. It has come to a point that one bad apple will actually ruin it for everybody.
The only option for the organizers of the Arnold Sports Festival UK was to make an exclusive agreement with supplement powerhouse Redcon1. This would give them full control over what information is published from the Arnold Sports Festival UK.
As revealed in a previous article by this site, prominent people and athletes in the industry have severed ties with Giles Thomas.
A full campaign against this site was made by Giles Thomas on Muscular Development’s forum. Giles attacked this sites owner for publishing an article that was correct and 100% true.
This means that Muscular Development’s own UK self proclaimed journalist, Giles Thomas, was allegedly one of the reasons why the Arnold Sports Festival UK organizers banned all media.
This site was also informed that even when proven wrong, Giles Thomas allegedly refused to apologize to the owner of this website.
As it looks, Giles Thomas still has the same feeling towards this website, as the first words from his mouth towards the owner was ‘dickhead’.
