Good Vito’s pro debut delayed as European Visa denied

Russian bodybuilding star, Vitaliy Ugolnikov aka “Good Vito”, will have to put a hold on his pro debut, due to visa issues.

Good Vito was looking forward to competing at two 2023 Mr. Olympia qualifiers in Italy and Spain.

Good Vito, who lives in Brazil, was denied entry to Europe due to visa complications.

According to sources, 91 countries, which include Italy, Spain, and the majority of European countries, require Russian citizens to apply for a visa to enter.

All is not lost for Good Vito, as he confirmed that he managed to obtain a visa to enter the USA, meaning he can compete at an Olympia qualifier later in the year.

Luckily for Good Vito, he has a chance to qualify for the 2023 Mr. Olympia at the 2023 Legion Sports Fest, which takes place on 8 October 2023.

Good Vito explained his ordeal in detail on his official social media accounts:

Translated: “Friends I’ll share my news with you. The bad news is that I’ve been denied my European visa and won’t be allowed to enter the championships in Italy and Spain. The good news is I have been approved for a US visa and still preparing myself to qualify for the Mr Olympia”

“USA visa will let me pick any championship this year and now I’m adjusting my goal. At the moment I was mentally overwhelmed because I had struggled so hard to get in shape, I had worked hard and was ready to win. My goal is to qualify this year, not giving up. I have no time to complain about the problems.”

“Now I need to adjust the plan and aim for another championship this year to reach my goal. In 15-17 days my beloved wife will give birth to my son, it hasn’t been easy for both of us lately, because I’ve been very busy preparing for these championships, but now my light is that I will be able to see the birth of my first child, pay more attention and help my wife, may the Lord want me to support my wife during this difficult time for her. Continue to study hard and stay focused on my goal. I promise to all those who support me that I will do my best to win this year!”
