Hadi Choopan the new ‘Giant Killer’… Can he win the 2019 Mr. Olympia?

Hadi Choopan could possibly create history at the 2019 Mr. Olympia.

On Friday evening, before prejudging, the main three favorites to win the 2019 Mr Olympia were Brandon Curry, Roelly Winklaar and William Bonac.

By the end of prejudging, it was Hadi Choopan who would become the favorite to win the 2019 Mr. Olympia.

As the competitors were compared, it was evident that Hadi Choopan was the best conditioned athlete on stage.

Brandon Curry has the thicker back, but the condition is not there. No other bodybuilder on the Olympia stage had the same condition as Hadi Choopan.

Will Hadi lift the Sandow trophy on Saturday evening? This all depends what slight adjustments the other competitors make.

If Brandon Curry steps on stage Saturday evening holding less water, he will definitely edge past Hadi to lift the 2019 Olympia title.

As Shawn Ray said during his commentary, not one athlete could be singled out to win.

Chad Nicholls also gave his opinion on who could possibly win the 2019 Olympia.

On his official Facebook page, Chad gave his prediction for the top five in the Mr. Olympia.

Here’s my Olympia take after pre-judging:

*Dexter Jackson – I think he’s a lock for 5th place and at 49 it’s un-fucking-believable.

*Roelly Winklaar – Biggest disappointment for me of the night. He literally could’ve pulled water from where he was in pics 3 weeks ago and looked better. I see him a lock for 4th unless he gets drastically worse, which could easily move him down even further.

*William Bonac – William looked good. I’ve seen him better. I think he’ll end up in 3rd. His conditioning was good, and he held his own with Brandon and Hadi, but I would have liked to have seen just a little more pop to his muscle, but still very close because again, no one in the lineup with 100% spot on.

*Brandon Curry – Brandon easily could’ve walked away with this title – and he still may. His overall size from the waist up is good and his back shots are crazy, but from the front his conditioning is average at best and from the waist down, even though his legs are up in size, the conditioning is not even close to where it needs to be. He’ll need to tighten up for tomorrow night and keep that same size and if he does that he could easily take the Sandow.

*Hadi Choopan – I was most impressed with Hadi tonight – even though I have seen him in better shape. However, no one nailed it 100% tonight, so his dense muscle really stands out. He doesn’t have the structure of Curry, but he does have better conditioning. From the front, I like Hadi’s overall look better. From the side, at times I liked Curry better, at times I liked Hadi better. From the back, Curry is just very dominant. So it is a complete toss up between Hadi and Brandon. Only because Brandon’s conditioning is off. I liked that Hadi was able to control his midsection better than Curry. Overall, I give him a slight edge over Curry tonight. It will more than likely come down to who can improve the most for tomorrow.

Let’s hear everyone’s thoughts. Chad Nicholls
