IFBB 2019 season

IFBB and IFBB Elite Pro League – The 2019 season so far.

The IFBB and IFBB Elite Pro League went into the 2019 season with big plans and expecting great results.

Since the beginning of 2019, it has been one show after another organized all over the world.

The IFBB’s amateur division has continued to grow with bigger and better shows.

The IFBB Diamond Cup series of events have started to be organized by every major IFBB affiliated federation, offering IFBB Elite Pro cards to the top placing athletes.

Along with the Diamond Cup, National and National Qualifier competitions are also included in the IFBB calendar of events adding to the hundreds of competitions that are to take place in 2019.

We cannot forget about the Arnold Classic Africa. This was a great success again in 2019. Wayne Price and his committee made sure this event would be better than the previous. It was a great treat to see Arnold make the trip to Africa after having to miss it in 2018 due to health issues.

Looking ahead in July, we can expect more great events and as well new events that are sure to be a great success.

The 2019 Miami Grand Prix and IFBB Elite Pro show will be taking place between 19-22 July, 2019.

IFBB Physique America’s President Wayne Demilia and his team look to be organizing a great event. This event has been gaining a lot of momentum in the last couple of weeks with athletes from all over the world expected to make the trip to Miami to compete.

Between the 26-29 July, 2019 the 53rd Asian Championships are being organized in Harbin, China.

As well during the Asian Championships the Asian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Congress will be taking place as well.

As with all other IFBB Amateur shows, this will be a IFBB Elite Pro qualifier with points going towards the 2019 IFBB Amateur World Rankings.

A great milestone for the IFBB will be in August when they will be participating at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Classic Bodybuilding and Women’s Fitness has been included in the schedule of events and the event is scheduled on 10 August, 2019.

This Pan American Games is affiliated with the Olympics having a number of qualifying events for the Tokyp 2020 Olympic Games.

This is another step forward for the IFBB and Ben Weider’s dream of the IFBB and Bodybuilding being included in the Olympic games.

IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja and his hard working team of delegates are keeping Ben Weider’s dream alive in expanding bodybuilding and fitness to every corner of the world.

Other shows in July we can look forward to is the African Championships (16-17, July), Giovanni Classic (17-18, July), East Asian championships (23-25, July) and the Malta International Bodybuilding and Fitness Grand Prix (31 July).

August to December will continue to be jam packed with multiple events every weekend.

The headlining shows will be the 2019 Arnold Classic Europe between 20-22 September, 2019. This is one of the biggest shows on the IFBB calendar with over a thousand athletes expected to register for the amateur shows.

The Arnold Classic IFBB Elite Pro show will be another great event with the best pro athletes invited to participate in this event. We must not forget the legend Arnold Schwarzenegger attending the events during the entire festival.

The 73rd IFBB Men’s Amateur Championships and World Congress is being organized in Dubai between the 5-10 November, 2019.

This is one of IFBB’s most prestigious contests in the history of the federation. Formally called the IFBB Mr. Universe, this contest attracts the best IFBB Amateurs from all over the world. The highlight of the event is the bodybuilding overall title. Some of the biggest names in the history of bodybuilding competed in this event, launching very successful careers thanks to this event.

All the IFBB Elite Pro shows qualify the top placing athletes for the 2019 IFBB Elite Pro World Championships.
