IFBB Pro League investigating serious incident at 2Bros Pro event.
The IFBB Pro League has released a statement that they are investigating a serious incident that occurred at a 2Bros Pro Ben Weider event, which took place on 6 April 2024.
The event was an IFBB Pro League qualifier and 2024 Olympia Weekend qualifier.
IFBB Pro Michael Daboul, attended the event, supporting his friends and athletes.
During the event, Michael vented his frustration at what he thought were very high ticket prices, the way athletes were being treated, and even the stage setup.
Michael even made some comparisons between the Arnold UK and 2Bros Pro events, in regards to what you get for the money paid.
The day went from bad to worse for Michael when he tried to enter backstage to speak to his partner.
According to Michael Daboul, one security guard let him in when the event ended, but when he entered the backstage area, four security guards allegedly escorted him out, and allegedly punched him several times, causing him some serious injuries.
What was said between Michael and the security guards is not known, but they got into a confrontation, and Michael allegedly suffered broken ribs, a partially broken nose, and a serious eye injury.
According to Michael, the police have allegedly reviewed the CCTV footage and arrested two security guards, and are still looking for another two, that were involved in this incident.
Michael believes this incident was allegedly related to the comments he made about the event a few hours earlier.

“I have been competing at the IFBB Pro League for 9 straight years, and I have competed in 20 different countries and never had any issues with any show I competed or watched.
I have always been and will always support the IFBB Pro League.”
When I criticize a small show because I want the sport to get better, and nothing else.
Today I felt so embarrassed and I felt really in pain.
I’m not talking about the physical pain, but because I can take much more than that but to get beaten in front of people and in front of my partner is a hard feeling to explain.
I honestly wished for that moment to be dead and not have to look at anyone in the eyes.

I got beaten up by four guys at the 2Bros Pro show.
When the show was done (completely done), I asked one of the security to let me into the backstage area, to tell my partner where I am at. The security told me I could go in as the show was done.
When I was inside, I was carried out by four security guards who jumped me from nowhere and punched me several times.
The Police arrested two of them and are still looking for the others. The police took many statements from the people who were there, and they watched the CCTV camera’s as well.

IFBB Pro League Investigates, 2Bros Pro damage control
Immediately following this incident, the 2Bros Pro social media channels were flooded with athletes and fans criticizing their events and how they allegedly treat their athletes.
Allegedly, some comments were deleted by the administrator of the 2Bros Pro Social media accounts, but very late in the evening, some comments were still published.
2Bros Pro has been organizing events since 2017, and it’s not the first time fans have allegedly vented their frustration on their social media networks.
It is alleged that 2Bros Pro has exclusive rights to NPC Worldwide events in the UK. According to sources close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net, allegedly, relations between Arnold Classic’s Global Executive Director, Brian Powers, and 2Bros Pro, have crumbled, and this is one of the main reasons no Arnold Classic Amateur events took place at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK.
The IFBB Pro League did not take this incident lightly, and immediately published a post on their social media networks that they were investigating the incident, and reassured athletes and spectators that they should feel safe at every event.
“While we await for details from the local authorities about the incident that occurred with the venue security at a UK event, we want to reassure our competitors and attendees that no one should feel unsafe at any of our events” – The IFBB Pro League.
At the time of publishing this article, the 2Bros Pro organizers have yet to make any comments about the incident that occurred.
