Jay Cutler Classic Figure Overall winner Mikayla Kingman passes away.
Another very young athlete has left this world just to early.
2017 Jay Cutler Classic Figure Overall winner Mikayla Kingman died at the very young age of 23.
Unfortunately, Mikayla took her own life.
Another young and healthy person has left us at such an early age. Just over a week ago, Pro Bodybuilder Luke Sandoe also took his own life at the young age of 30.
This problem seems to be increasing at a fast rate, but at the same time, there are so many people that can help.
Luke Sandoe’s problems were known by his closest friends and he never really revealed his problems outside his close circle of friends.
Mikayla left a worrying post on her Instagram page the day before she passed away.
“Life needs no filter even on its darkest days” – Mikayla Kingman
This post was proof that she was crying for help and was going through a very difficult time.
In 2017, at the NPC Jay Cutler Classic, she placed first in three categories and was overall champion for two categories. A truly successful evening for Mikayla.
We can never pinpoint the real reason for this tragic loss.
In regards to the athlete, we have seen athletes at the peak of their career take this same path and others after they have left the sport.
Some of the greatest athletes to ever walk on the bodybuilding stage have admitted to trying to take their own life on a number of occasions. Thankfully,, they received help and conquered their demons.
Speaking from experience, it is not an easy situation seeing a physique that you worked so hard to create just disappear, either due to age, sickness, injury or taking a different path in life.
Then there are others that have world class physiques who look in the mirror and see something horrible.
To add to the problem add the strict diet and everything else that comes with the sport of bodybuilding and fitness.
This becomes a dangerous situation for some athletes.
Some athletes can handle anything you throw at them, while others are more fragile.
With the power of social media, a number of athletes express their feeling on their official channels. Some people ridicule this, but it could be their way to open up and relieve the pain they are going through.
If anybody is going through such a crisis, there are people that can help. Even just over the phone, somebody can help.
And if somebody is noticing a close friend going through the same situation, please help them, don’t take nothing for granted.
It only takes a split second for a person to make a decision that will end their life.
This dreaded coronavirus has not helped with people being locked inside their homes and not having contact with their closest friends and family. It can be a desperate situation.
We at Evolutionofbodybuilding.net send our deepest condolences to Mikayla’s family and friends during this difficult time.
May she Rest in Peace.
