Lee Priest muscles his way to more victories.
Bodybuilding legend Lee Priest is enjoying his latest victories, not with the muscle you build in the gym, but the muscle in the form of a 1970 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet Fastback .
Lee Priest was not only successful on the bodybuilding stage, a career that lasted 27 years, but he is also passionate about cars and car racing.
Lee was successful in road and circle-track racing, but his greatest success was achieved in Drag Racing. Lee won Rookie of the Year in 2005, and in 2006, he won the SCEDA Drag Racing Championship in Lancaster, California.
On his numerous podcasts with Dave Palumbo on RX Muscle, Lee has spoken about his latest projects in relation to his car collection.
Just recently, Lee has finally finished his latest project, fully restoring his 1970 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet Fastback.
Lee’s friends at Full Throttle Custom Garage, did a fantastic restoration job on Lee’s Mustang, and it was not long before Lee entered his car into a number of shows.
Lee is already a proven winner and his desire to be successful is applied to everything he does.
Evolutionofbodybuilding.net contacted Lee about his new project and he immediately sent us some great photos and a some information about his beautiful Mustang.
In regards to the latest car shows, at the time of publishing this article, Lee confirmed with Evolutionofbodybuilding.net that his car was successful in the last four car shows he entered, winning trophies in each one of them.
Lee is known for his humour, and he explained that he is still winning trophies without going through a strict diet and breaking his back in the gym.
Priest jokingly said, “Over the years, I dieted and trained to win a trophy, now I just sit there eating hotdogs and I still get trophies go figure…LOL”.
Dedicating a lot of his time to his car and car events, this does not mean Lee has abandoned the gym, or his passion for bodybuilding.
At the moment, Lee is trying to get back in the best shape possible, after he recovered from the injuries he sustained in a car crash.
Chris Aceto and Dave Palumbo are both helping him with his diet, and Lee is already making great improvements.
If Jake Wood does organize the Master’s Olympia in 2023, Lee has mentioned that he would consider competing at this event.
