Milos Sarcev publishes never-before-seen photos of the 2002 IFBB Holland GP.
Bodybuilding legend Milos Sarcev is not only known for being one of the world’s best bodybuilders but also for having an archive of some of the best photos from the greatest era of bodybuilding.
In one of his latest posts on his popular social media channels, Milos published never-before-seen photos from the 2002 IFBB Holland Grand Prix.
During that time, Ronnie Coleman already won the Mr. Olympia title four consecutive times, giving him the title of one of the greatest bodybuilders to ever grace the competitive stage.
Ronnie was the man to beat, and he dominated the sport from 1998 to 2005. The most famous defeat for Ronnie Coleman during his reign, was in 2002 at the Show of Strength Championships, where he placed second to Gunter Schlierkamp.
The photos were taken by Milos Sarcev, one day before the event, displaying the fantastic condition of the athletes during that era.
Ronnie Coleman was in a world of his own, stepping on stage with a physique that displayed the perfect balance of size, balance, and condition.
Chris Cormier, who was breathing down Coleman’s neck for several years, had to settle for second, but he went on to dominate the majority of events organized in Europe.
Third place would go to Dexter Jackson, who was one of the smaller athletes on stage, but nobody would believe Dexter would go on to win the Mr. Olympia title just six years later in 2002.
Dennis James, who also had one of the best physiques during that era, and still to this day, nobody can understand how he didn’t achieve more success in competitive bodybuilding, had to settle for fourth.
Rounding off the top five was Canadian bodybuilder Claude Groulx. Claude would never win an pro show, but he would eventually win the 2003 Masters Olympia.
