Patrick Moore decides to take a long break from competitive bodybuilding.

Patrick Moore has decided to temporarily take a break from competitive bodybuilding after finishing 10th at the 2021 Legion Sports Fest.

Since he made his pro debut in 2018, Patrick was a breath of fresh air for the sport of bodybuilding.

Patrick is not the biggest bodybuilder compared to his fellow competitors, but he presents a aesthetic and balanced, that many believed would excel on the competitive stage.

Patrick’s only pro victory was in 2019 when he won the California Pro. Moore qualified for the 2019 Mr. Olympia and placed 10th, a very good result for his Mr. Olympia debut.

Even though Patrick presented a fantastic physique, he still had a hard time placing higher than his fellow competitors.

Patrick made it official, that he is stepping away from the bodybuilding stage, in a message that he published on his official Instagram page.

“And that is a wrap for this season! Wanted to take a day to process all the experiences over the last 4 years…..prep after prep. Not taking any time off to actually grow. A lot of you have asked why I have never taken time off.

“For me the time is now. I don’t have a place on stage until 2023, and that may even be in question. For now, taking a step back and evaluating everything personally and professionally, is best. All of you have been absolutely amazing and it has been an honor to perform for you guys and motivate you all!

“I’ll be back to pumping out plenty of off-season content for you guys next week. Thank you guys for all the support! Let’s see what #thefuture holds!”Patrick Moore

In his message, Patrick confirmed that he has until 2023 or longer before he competes again. Taking such a long break from competitive bodybuilding is not always the best decision. Many athletes find it very difficult to get back to their best after being absent from competitive bodybuilding for such a long period.
