Phil Heath and Patrick Moore: From Dream Killer to Dream Team

Phil Heath and Patrick Moore: From Dream Killer to Dream Team.

7X Mr. Olympia Phil Heath and Patrick Moore have become one of bodybuilding’s most intriguing partnership.

Patrick Moore is one of bodybuilding’s most talked about athletes.

Looking like a young Ronnie Coleman, Patrick has the potential to be one of the greatest bodybuilders ever.

Add Phil Heath in the mix and this could become a perfect storm.

The young bodybuilder finished 2019 on a high by placing tenth at his first Mr. Olympoa competition and now he is prepping for the 2020 Arnold Classic USA.

Patrick is not doing this alone, he has Phil Heath pushing him to be his best.

Just as 8X Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman started to dominate the sport after receiving valuable advice from legends Flex Wheeler and Kevin Levrone, Patrick looks to be following the same path.

Even though Flex and Kevin knew that their help could eventually make Ronnie dominate the sport and put a dent in their careers, they did not hesitate to help him.

Fast forward to the Jay Cutler era, the same situation started to unfold.

Jay Cutler knew Phil Heath would eventually dominate the sport and instead of trying to destroy him, he became one of his best friends and mentor.

Jay passed on valuable knowledge to Phil that would eventually help him on and off the stage.

“He owes me nothing and I owe him nothing, yet he’s here passing on little jewels that will ultimately push me to the next level to the best version of myself. All while knowing I could very well be his competition someday, yet he passes on the knowledge with no hesitation”

– Patrick Moore on 7X Mr. Olympia Phil Heath

Phil Heath eventually dethroned Jay Cutler in 2011 and at that moment, the bodybuilding world witnessed Jay Cutler showing what a great sport he was. Jay was happy to pass the title on Phil Heath who would eventually dominate the sport for the next seven years.

As the Phil Heath era came to a temporary end in 2018, Phil Heath took a step back from the stage due to health reasons and as well to take care of other business ventures.

This does not mean Phil walked away from the sport, he was just not competing.

Immediately after the 2019 Mr. Olympia, Evolutionofbodybuilding.net‘s Kevin Grech spoke to Phil Heath about Patrick Moore. Phil praised the young athlete and confirmed that he helped Patrick prep for his first Mr. Olympia contest.

As the contest season is about to start in 2020, footage started to appear on the social media pages of Phil Heath and Patrick Moore training together.

As Patrick is preparing for the 2020 Arnold Classic USA, Phil Heath is pushing him to the limit and at the same time looking fantastic himself.

Just as Jay Cutler knew Phil Heath could eventually defeat him, Phil Heath knows that one day Patrick could compete against him and defeat him. This does not stop the 7X Mr. Olympia from passing his vast knowledge of the sport to the younger Patrick Moore.

Patrick Moore truly respects what Phil is doing and he said a few words on his official Instagram page:

Brotherhood…..one of the most important necessities in sports. It’s necessary for athletes to learn and improve on their craft. Here you have a 7 time world champ, and a new athlete working to accomplish the same. He owes me nothing and I owe him nothing, yet he’s here passing on little jewels that will ultimately push me to the next level to the best version of myself. All while knowing I could very well be his competition someday, yet he passes on the knowledge with no hesitation. Then gives criticism, wether I like it or not, it’s all for my benefit. At the end of the day it’s mutual respect! Plus he knows someone has to pick up the crown and carry it! Bet you won’t find a better #flexfriday #NEWBLOOD #thefuture #thegift #dreamteam #arnoldclassic #mrolympia #ifbb #bodybuilding #ifbb Patrick Moore

Phil Heath still has not confirmed if he is going to compete or not in 2020.

Phil Heath is known as being the ‘Dream Killer’ but he and Patrick can now be called the ‘Dream Team’.
