Photos & Results: 2023 IFBB Diamond Cup Malta & Elite Pro Show.
The beautiful island of Malta was the place to be on Sunday, 14 May, 2023, for the 2023 IFBB Diamond Cup Malta, and IFBB Elite Pro Show.
Malta has become one of the favorite locations on IFBB’s calendar of events, thanks to the prestigious events organized by the MFBBF (Malta Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness), the affiliate to the IFBB in Malta.
MFBBF President Ralph Decelis, who is also IFBB’s General Secretary, and his dedicated committee, always make sure the event is to the highest standards. As will every international event held in Malta, all the athletes enjoy their experience.
The Diamond Cup Malta event was an IFBB Elite Pro qualifier, and an IFBB International Ranking Qualifier.
The Diamond Cup Malta was organized just a few weeks after the IFBB European Championships, meaning the athletes that competed were at the highest level.
Over 100 athletes registered for the event, with approximately 20 competing in more than one division.
The highlight of the evening was when Wellness athlete, Gentiana Beqa, won the Overall Women’s Wellness event, and then went on to win the IFBB Elite Pro Wellness event on the same evening in Malta.
Gentiana Beqa is rated as one of IFBB’s best Wellness athletes in the world.
Czech Republic’s Lumir Stefek, went on to win the IFBB Elite Pro Men’s Classic Physique Open event. The fans loved Lumir’s posing routine, and when he posed in front of the crowd during the pose down.
The season is not over for the MFBBF, as they still have a number of prestigious events scheduled for 2023.
On 24 September, 2023, the MFBFF will be organizing three events during one weekend.
