Photos & Results: 2023 IFBB Mediterranean Championships.
The 2023 IFBB Mediterranean Championships was another success, with the best amateur athletes in Europe traveling to the island of Malta for this prestigious event.
For its third consecutive year, the island of Malta was the location for this great event. Athletes representing 15 countries, traveled to the beautiful Island to fight for the opportunity to be crowned Mediterranean champion.
Athletes will represent the following countries: Malta, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, France, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Cyprus, and IFBB Flag-North Cyprus. Italy and Greece will have the largest teams.
Organized by IFBB-Malta President/IFBB General Secretary, Ralph Decelis, and the IFBB, this event has become one of the most anticipated events in IFBB’s contest calendar.

* Pro cards are only awarded if there is a minimum of three athletes in that particular category.
2023 Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Overall Champion, and 2023 IFBB World Championships Overall Bodybuilding Champion, Jonathan Rouch, was the guest poser. Jonathan was in great condition, entertaining the spectators with his great posing routine.
The bodybuilding overall title went to Malta’s, Andrew Azzopardi. Andrew presented a fantastic physique, overpowering his fellow competitors with his overpowering physique. Andrew has a great future within the IFBB, and we look forward to seeing him on the stage in the near future.
The Men’s Classic Bodybuilding overall title went to Italy’s Salvatore Gargano. Salvatore presented the most conditioned physique on the day. His balance of size and condition guaranteed him a well-deserved victory.
The Men’s Classic Physique title went to Croatia’s Filip Dropulic. Filip has had an incredible 2023 season, winning at the 2023 Arnold Classic Europe, and now at the IFBB Mediterranean Championships.
The overall winners in the other divisions were: Falon Vargas (Bikini) and Larbi Rabet (Men’s Physique).
