Tonio “The Predator” Burton is the new king of New York, after he earned his qualification for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, by winning the 2023 New York Pro.

The New York Pro is one of the biggest events on the Pro League calendar, attracting some of the best pro athletes, aiming to win this great event, and earn their Olympia Weekend qualification.

Going into the show, the two names that have been circulating all over the media were Tonio Burton, and Stuart Sutherland.

These two bodybuilding, fairly new onto the scene, are the new generation of bodybuilders, that will surely dominate the sport in the future.

Not the biggest bodybuilder in the lineup, Tonio presented a physique with the best condition, and great balance of size and symmetry. Tonio has emerged as the new modern day “Giant Killer”.

Stuart Sutherland had to settle for second place, a decision by the judges that Stuart should accept.

Stuart presented a much bigger physique than Tonio, but he did not have the condition that would guarantee him victory.

Moving onto the 212 Division, Kerrith Bajjo, went on to deservedly win the 212 edition of the event.

Kerrith definitely presented the best physique, and the judges got it right in giving him the nod for victory. With his victory, Kerrith earns his 2023 Olympia Weekend qualification, hoping to improve on his seventh placing at the 2022 Olympia Weekend.

The Men’s Classic Physique division has become one of the most popular divisions, and must be a nightmare for the judges.

Michael Daboul won the Men’s Classic Physique event, defeating a very difficult lineup, that was made up of some of the best physiques in the industry.

Second and third place finishers, Junior Javorski,and Alexander Westermeier, from the front both challenged for victory, but it would be Michael’s developed back that would propel him to victory.

The Men’s Physique division had the UK’s Ryan Terry taking the top prize, and qualification to the 2023 Olympia Weekend.

Ryan Terry is definitely not the biggest Men’s Physique athlete in the industry, but it seems the judges preferred his physique. In recent years, the Men’s Physique athletes have been getting bigger, almost looking like Men’s Classic Physique competitors.

Ryan presented a well balanced physique, with incredible condition.

Other results: Pro Figure – Maria Luisa Baeza Diaz Pereira, Women’s Bodybuilding – Natalie Kovaleva, Pro Bikini – Aimee LeAnn Delgado, Women’s Physique – Natalia Abraham Coelho, and finally Wellness – Gisele Machado.
