Pro bodybuilder Paul Poloczek dies at 37.
The bodybuilding world ends the week with some very sad news, German bodybuilder Paul Poloczek passed away suddenly at the age of 37.
Paul Poloczek’s cause of death is not known, but according to reports, Paul was seen at the NPC Worldwide Championships in Baden-Württemberg, a few hours before his sudden death.
Paul was born on 25 January 1985 and passed away on 28 May 2022.
His friends and family are in shock as he leaves behind his loving partner Katherin DeNev and his young dauther.
Poloczek’s partner Katherin DeNev, left a short message moments after his death; “Bodybuilding was your life. You are not forgotten, you live on in our hearts. We will love you forever.”
The life of Paul Poloczek
Paul’s family immigrated to Germany from Poland when he was only four years old.
At a very young age, Paul was passionate about football (soccer) and then at the age of 16, he started to get seriously interested in the sport of bodybuilding.
In 2002, Poloczek became a member of Powerhouse Gym in Oehringen, Germany. After a number of years, Paul became the owner of the same gym.
At the age of 17, Paul won his first Junior Championship. In 2010, Paul did not place at the World Amateur Championships.
In 2012, Paul placed second at he German Championships in the Super-Heavyweight division.
Paul would again place second at the 2013 Arnold Classic Amateur Europe and the German Championships.
Poloczek would try his luck again at the 2014 Arnold Amateur Championships in Ohio, he placed second in the Super-Heavyweight division.
Finally in 2017, Paul would earn his pro card by winning the Arnold Classic Amateur in Ohio.
Paul went on to compete at the 2018 New York Pro, unfortunately he did not place.
After taking a few years off, Paul planned to compete at the 2021 Mr. Big Evolution Pro, but the pandemic prevented him from competing.
Paul would try his luck again at the Europa Pro in 2021, but he had to settle for 16 place.
