Qualification deadline extended

Qualification deadline for 2020 Olympia Weekend extended.

The 2020 bodybuilding and fitness competition season has been turned upside down due to the threat of coronavirus.

The majority of contests have been postponed or cancelled.

With all this happening, many athletes were worried if the 2020 Olympia Weekend will actually happen.

All the speculation about the Olympia Weekend ended when President & Chief Olympia Officer Dan Solomon confirmed a new date and venue.

The 2020 Olympia Weekend was rescheduled between 16-20 December 2020.

As well the event will be taking place at a new location, the Planet Hollywood Resort in the center of the Las Vegas Strip.

With the Olympia Weekend being rescheduled to a later date, the qualification period for the Olympia Weekend could be extended.

The final date to qualify for the 2020 Olympia Weekend has been moved to 18 October, 2020.

With a number of events being rescheduled between July and November. This leaves a good amount of shows for athletes to compete in and try to earn their qualification.

The IFBB Professional League and Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend have come to a mutual decision that the final date to qualify for the 2020 Olympia will be Sunday, October 18.

As a reminder, The 2020 Olympia Weekend will now take place at Planet Hollywood, on the Las Vegas Strip, from December 16 to 20.

The current, revised IFBB Professional League schedule will be released and featured later today on www.IFBBPro.com and www.NPCNewsOnline.com so you can plan your competition schedule.
