Will Redcon1’s athletes compete at the 2021 Arnold Classic?

Will Redcon1’s athletes compete at the 2021 Arnold Classic?

Redcon1 has recently decided to end their relationship with the Arnold Classic. Will this decision affect their athletes?

Redcon1 owner, Aaron Singerman, has just recently made a  public announcement that his company, Redcon1, will immediately end their relationship with the Arnold Classic events in the USA and in the UK.

This decision comes after hearing Arnold Schwarzenegger say “Screw Your Freedom” in a recent interview.

During his interview with Alexander S. Vindman (Vet. Defender of Constitution) and Bianna Golodryga (Senior Global Affairs analyst), Arnold made some comments that angered many people in America and around the world.

Referring to US citizens fighting for their right to freedom of speech and their right to decide what they want to do in relation to Covid-19 vaccines or regulations, Arnold said “Screw your freedom”.

The moment Arnold said “Screw your freedom”, Arnold received a backlash from politicians, media and people all over the world.

Moments after, Aaron Singerman made an official announcement that he will end all sponsorship and his athletes will not be attending the events in the USA and UK.

The athletes sponsored by Redcon1

The bodybuilding world understands Aaron and many are supporting him, but what about the athletes?

Aaron sponsors some of the biggest athletes in the industry and a number of them are invited to compete at the 2021 Arnold Classic USA that is taking place in Ohio, 25 September, 2021.

In his video message, Aaron specifically said that his athletes will not be attending the events in the USA and in the UK.

If Aaron keeps his word, the competitors invited to the Arnold Classic USA will not be competing. The athletes competing at the Arnold Classic USA are former champion Cedric McMillan in the bodybuilding open class and defending Classic Physique champion Alex Cambronero.

It is still not know if professional strongman Robert Oberst will be taking part in the Strongman competitions taking place in the UK and as well the Arnold Sports Festival Europe, taking place in Seville, Spain.

Bodybuilding stars such as Kai Greene, James Hollinshead and Blessing Awodibu, will also be absent from these events.

The athletes mentioned that are sponsored by Redcon1 will now have a very difficult decision to make. They can either end their relationship with Aaron Singerman or they can agree with him and not attend the events.

With many companies in the bodybuilding and fitness industry suffering financially due to Covid-19, it is very difficult for a elite athlete to find a major sponsor.

At the time of publishing this article, none of the athletes in question have talked about this situation.

Aaron Singerman has become a very powerful man in the industry. Renting large spaces for his elaborate booths and helping organizers financially, Aaron’s absence will be felt at the Arnold Sports Festival.

In regards to sponsorships, the Arnold Sports Festival Europe will not be affected by Aaron’s decision as he was not sponsoring this event.

The media sponsored by Redcon1

Then we have the media sponsored by Redcon1? Will Nick’s Strength and Power be attending the Arnold Classic USA, as he usually does every year?

Nick Miller’s main sponsor is Redcon1. At the 2019 Arnold Classic USA, Nick was given VIP access thanks to Aaron Singerman. Nick went on to interview all of the stars and as well Arnold Schwarzenegger himself with Bob Cicherillo.

This was a fantastic opportunity for Nick, adding more popularity to his already established Youtube page.

All this exposure for Nick Miller was thanks to Redcon1. We don’t know the exact details  about the agreement between Redcon1 and Nick Miller, but Redcon1’s adverts are shown at the beginning of every video that Nick publishes and Nick surely makes a commission on products sold.

Challenging times for the Arnold Classic organizers

The next couple of weeks will be very challenging for the Arnold Classic USA and UK organizers.

In the USA, Classic Productions, the company behind the Arnold Classic USA and partner with the Arnold Classic UK and Europe will need to find a new sponsor.

Redcon1 was one of the main sponsors of the Arnold Classic USA. With Redcon1 pulling out as a sponsor, the Arnold Classic USA’s organizers will be desperate to find a new major sponsor.

Sources close to Evolutionofbodybuilding.net have alleged that all is not well in the Arnold Classic camp. It has also been alleged that the organizing team has been changed for the 2021 Arnold Classic USA, and the offices used in previous years have been closed in Ohio.

With all these alleged problems and now losing one of his main sponsors and possibly two of his most popular competitors, Arnold Schwarzenegger must be scratching his head.

Now in the UK, Redcon1 has caused some problems for the big event that is scheduled to take place between 1-3 October, 2021.

Not only was Redcon1 one of the main sponsors, they also had exclusive rights to the media.

The organizers of the Arnold Sports Festival UK will be looking for another main sponsor and as well another company to take over the exclusivity of the media.

Hopefully all will be arranged for the good of the sport. The bodybuilding world have been looking forward to these competitions all year.

Just as many support Aaron Singerman, many people will support Arnold Schwarzenegger’s beliefs and Redcon1 could possibly suffer financially.

The next couple of weeks will be very interesting and Evolutionofbodybuilding.net will be publishing updates as they come in.
