The IFBB is the biggest bodybuilding federation in the world, organizing historic events internationally. The Mediterranean Championships is one of IFBB’s most historic and prestigious events, with the top amateur athletes in Europe participating in this event.
The diamond in the Mediterranean, the Island of Malta, was the location for this historic event. This is the second consecutive year that Malta was selected as the location for this great event.
IFBB Malta President and General Secretary, Ralph Decelis, and his hard working committee, made sure this event lived up to its name.
From their arrival to departure, every athlete and delegate were treated perfectly. The comments after the event on social media was proof of their joy and satisfaction with how the event was perfect from start to finish.
The 2022 Mediterranean Championships was open to all IFBB-Affiliated Mediterranean National Federations.
Taking place 12-14 November 2022, this event was just a few weeks after the 2022 IFBB Men’s world Championships, which meant some of the top athletes in the world made the trip to Malta. In fact, a number of World Champions graced the stage in Malta.
As with all IFBB international events, this event was an IFBB Elite Pro qualifier. Points were also awarded towards the IFBB International Ranking qualifier.
