From face painting to dancing to shopping to medicine – their everyday interests differ greatly. But on 9 April 2016, they’ll all pursue the same goal: winning the title Miss FIBO POWER Beauty 2016. On FIBO POWER Saturday, ten finalists each in the two categories “Newcomers” and “Amateur” will line up on the large stage in Hall 10.2 to impress the jury. They’ll once again turn the Miss FIBO POWER Beauty contest into one of the absolute highlights in the programme of FIBO POWER, which will be held from 7 to 10 April in Cologne.
Fitness fans had until 29 February to go online and cast their votes for their favourites, which helped to determine six of the ten finalists in each category. A high-calibre jury made up of representatives from Sport Revue, NAC Germany and IronMaxx nominated an additional four athletes per category. And here are the 20 finalists in the “Amateur” and “Newcomers” categories.
Finalists in the “Amateur” category
The “Amateur” category is designed for athletes who have experience participating in competitions but don’t hold a professional license. Numerous beauties from various countries applied; ten of them stood out. With six candidates in the “Amateur” category, Germany’s contingent was particularly strong. Marie-Luise Klietz from Munich, Jennifer Falkenau from Nierstein, Sonja Blume from Solingen, Charmaine Aguilar from Bergisch Gladbach and Nelli Nicolas from Rinteln made it into the next round. Luxembourg’s chances in the final are looking great, too. Jennifer Ries from Rumelange, Jessica Da Costa from Greiveldange and Linda Allegrini from Sanem managed to collect enough votes to advance. The two remaining finalists are Alexandra Kornicki from Vienna and Valerija Slapnik from Brezovica pri Ljubljani in Slovenia
Finalists in the “Newcomers” category
The “Newcomers” category is all about fitness-loving woman who had never participated in a competition before 9 April 2016. Their goals for the future differ quite a bit: frequently heard answers include improving their own performance, participating in more competitions or proofing themselves in international championships. But the first step is the same for all of them: winning the Miss FIBO POWER Beauty title in the “Newcomers” category. Ten finalists will step on the stage on FIBO POWER Saturday in this contest, as well. Competitors include 23-year-old Julia Zeuner from Berheim; Caroline Schneider, who is 27 and calls Dresden home; 29-year-old Sarah Stock from Mönchengladbach; and German-Bosnian Ivona Bogdanovic from Aachen. Also participating will be Christiane Karney, 31 years old and from Berlin; 24-year-old Jill Stein from St. Ingbert; and 21-year-old Julia Gretzki from Rostock. Allessia Liberti from Kaiserslautern also made it to the final round, as did two Austrians: Fabienne Sotelsek and Nadja Urabl.
The finals at FIBO POWER
The finals to determine which two athletes will emerge victorious at Miss FIBO POWER Beauty will take place as part of FIBO POWER’s Saturday programme. The event on the stage in Hall 10.2 will kick off at 2:15 pm on 9 April. A jury of experts will decide which of the finalists have what it takes to hold the Miss FIBO POWER Beauty 2016 title. The winners in each category can look forward to their own photo series in the magazine Sport Revue.
