MFBBF President Ralph Decelis has released a very important press release to all the foreign athletes making the trip to Malta in regards to the coronavirus problem.

We received a number of queries from international athletes about the Coronavirus.

The situation in Malta is as follows:

1. Malta has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within its borders.

2.Malta has no border closures and is not denying entry to foreign nationals.

3. Malta has introduced thermal cameras at the airport to screen all inbound passengers for the virus. Those flagged by the screening will undergo further tests.

We hope this clears any confusion. There is no cause of alarm at the moment and we look forward to welcome you in Malta.
